There was mention of her having had a high fever the night before, which could be the reason for a nurse being present. They say an autopsy will begin tomorrow.

I saw several recent interviews too, and I think she has been very fragile, and yes, "over medicated" since her son's death. She had the "flat affect" of deep depression, IMO. Have to say I found it hard to look at the pain in her eyes. Whether or not her lifestyle was "over the top"...it was always clear how much she loved her son.

Sad.

R.I.P Anna. She'll hopefully find peace.

What a shame... I hope others can learn from her tragic death.

I have never been a fan of Anna Nicole, but the more I am hearing about her life I am aware of just how tragic her life was.

20/20 is airing right now and it's just heartbreaking. It makes me wonder more why she wanted nothing to do with her family. I always thought she was just ashamed of where she came from and didn't want to be associated with that life anymore. For her to have so much anger towards her mother though, I have to wonder. And now her mom is going to the Bahamas to be with the baby, which she knows Anna would not want her mother to have this baby...it's so sad.

I worry for that baby, especially because of this money...it's going to make people greedy and try to get the baby even if it's not in the child's best interest. I wonder if Anna had a will? I wonder if the baby will have an attorney, one that only cares about her well being and not about the fortune she would inherit.


Just such a tragic story. My heart is just breaking and I just want to hold that baby and make sure she is ok.

If I recall correctly, I don't think this was a forever estrangement.. I thought I recalled hearing that her son lived with his grandmother (anna's mother) for a number of years. Maybe that was off and on or just visiting.. But I haven't heard anything to indicate that she had a horrible childhood..

I saw a newspiece yesterday about her life in her hometown.. as Vickie Lynn Hogan. They showed the chicken joint she worked at as a teen. She dropped out of highschool after getting in a fight at school.

I did hear that her parents divorced.. If that was the extent of her life's hardship up until she was married and had her son... then she wasn't alone in that club.

I'll have to go back and see if I can find that info about her son spending alot of time with his grandmother. I think it came up after he died... and Anna wouldn't allow her mother or family who actually knew him and spent alot of time with him.. to be a part of the funeral ... Which we know wound up being a month or 2 after he died. I think they ultimately had their own memorial service for him.. without Daniel's body and without Anna.. on their own terms..and in their own way. It would have been nice for the estranged family to come together.. At that point Anna seemed intent on being alienated by everyone.. She left the country to establish last minute residency in the Bahamas...

I heard someone say today that she (Anna) didn't trust Birkhead... because he was only after her fame and money.. I really don't know much about him though.. (It could be that Howard Stern planted that in her mind!) Anna's mother did say on the 20/20 interview tonight that when Daniel was young he lived with her, and that Anna would often disappoint him, by not following through with what she said she would do.

I remember a year or two ago watching a story on E! (I think) where they interviewed Anna's family and even took a cousin there to see Anna..it didn't go well and it sounded like the family had been estranged for some time.

I don't remember hearing anything about her childhood,(and when I mention &quot;tragic life&quot; I am speaking of her adult life, she often looked sad and drugged IMO) except that Anna said it was terrible. I'm curious why she felt so much hatred for her mother.....you could see it all over her face when she talked about her.

I see alot of her family being interviewed in the very near future. I just hope they don't try to profit off the woman's death.
