And a name on a birth certificate is so arbitrary a basis to act, but it may well give him some 'credibility" in holding onto the baby out of the U.S. I cannot understand how a simple paternity test seems to have become such an insurmountable obstacle even before Anna's death. Someone who truly believed he was the father would facilitate the test and get it over with, to eliminate some of the controversy and a lot of legal expense. Dragging it out is the biggest indication to me that Howard believes the test would exclude him as the biological father. Where in the world was he when Anna died, and how could she be left alone in the condition she was in? I don't wonder that Howard is staying put out of the country for now. I don't think he necessarily harmed her, and he didn't have to, to be the one to benefit from the condition she was in. Just taking a hands-off strategy as she continued to drown and deteriorate, would have given him the same access and benefits. Nothing he has done spells concern for her.

For Anna not to have a Will or Power of Attorney is just crazy. It is really hard to understand why she didn't. WHy wouldn't Howard have insisted on her having one. I suspect that there were few times that she was sober enough to pass the test. When you sign your will, the witnesses have to attest that the testator is of sound mind, and under no undue constraint or undue influence.
I bet few witnesses could sign that truthfully.

Although Howard Stern has come off as a greedy controller of Anna Nicole, I'm still having trouble believing that he will fight for the child if he knows it is not his. I have always thought it was Anna Nicole who did not want to share custody with Birkhead.
Anna was very childish about how she parented. IMO most average parents would have a problem with that kind of behavior. Most parents would not think it proper for the mother to be messed up on drugs most of the time, but, Howard Stern went along with it. That's why I think she clung to him. He sided with her antics.

Sooner or later, Anna's attorneys are going to fold up representing Howard, if he is not the baby's father, because there will be no money to pay them. From all accounts, Howard has no money and only lived off of Anna.<br><br>Post edited by: Debby, at: 2007/02/12 17:43

I just don't see Howard as the controlling type, I kinda figured him for her &quot;lap dog&quot;..doing whatever she wanted when she wanted. If he is in fact that type of personality he didn't have the backbone to stand up to her drug use, or try to prevent her from doing pretty much what she wanted.

He said on ET tonight that there was a will...and they also showed previews for tomorrow's show where he gets to the house and people have been in there stealing.

I heard Anna quit school in the 11th grade, according to some of her fan sites, she didn't get along with some students and quit. Her mother has also stated that Anna started working in &quot;go go&quot; clubs underage. Regardless of what age she dropped out of school, Anna was no dummy, at least not in the way of being wise to the ways of the world. She knew how to promote herself and her body, and used it..she definitely knew how to work it. I DO believe that several people tried to profit off of her..and I think she felt that way too, given an interview she said that everyone in her life had tried to use her, blackmail her, or stab her in the back. In another interview after Daniel's death she said if not for Howard and baby she didn't think she'd be around.

The one with her and Shane Gibson the Head honcho that granted her residency.. and also some photos showing the contents of the refrigerator in her bedroom in Nassau.. Apparently very incriminating.. But since someone probably snapped those shots illegally, they might not be admissable.

I did see a blurb last night that there is going to be an Entertainment Tonight special... and I think it will be an exclusive with stern... Looked like they traveled with him...back to the Bahamas.. and when he was reunited with the baby.. and then back to the house which apparently looked ransacked..

I just read in this article that he went back on Friday.. the day after Anna Nicole's death..

I can't help but think, that Stern was probably profitting from allowing ET to do this... Giving them the exclusive scoop. Beings the day after her death... Seems strange to me.. or maybe par for the course since the last picts of Daniel before he died were also sold...as were picts from their pseudo wedding..

Some highlights of this article mention that Zsa Zsa has threatened to divorce him if he brings that baby into their home.. (She is 90!)

Just when you think this story couldn't get stranger....it does.

After seeing Howard Stern last night on tv, I must now eat my words. This is the first time I have seen him appear to be very impaired by some substance. Of course, maybe that's understandable since he is grieving, and may need the medication to calm him down, but, he looked pretty messed up to me.

He also talked about ensuring that the grandmother doesn't even get the chance to see the baby. The interviewer from ET seemed to try to convince Howard that there would be no harm done by just letting the grandmother SEE the child, but, he was adamant. Now I'm just really ticked off at him.

I hope somebody steps in and sets this man straight. People around this man are dropping like flies and he is oblivious to it. There are cries across this country begging for this child to be protected, but, nobody does anything. Are the people in the Bahamas that pathetic? Perhaps they like the publicity and if the DNA test is done and proves Stern not the father, the child will be taken away, Howard will be kicked out of the house, and the Bahamas will return to just another tourist spot.
