Went to MSNBC site to check, and it said the "sources" of the story were Star magazine and the National Enquirer!! Who knows what to believe any more? I think I'll wait for the official results on Monday...unless there is another delay of course!

Meant to ask...has anyone seen Birkhead's high school photo? In another forum they keep talking about how different he looked then, but I can't find any trace of it. Just curious!

I wouldn't bet any money on them... National Enquirer has changed it's story 3 times. The first week they claimed that she died of pneumonia..

I just saw the Star at the newstands at the grocery store. I think issue dated 3/26.. saying and probably as a teaser... Stern watched Anna die..

They are out to sell magazines.. and if they are able to sell a few million before Monday's announcement then they can line their coffers a bit more.. I'm not buying though!

re: Birkhead... Dr. Phil had a picture of Birkhead as a toddler or baby on the show.. They also had a picture of Stern too.. but Stern looked older.. maybe 5-8 years old.. They were showing the picts as comparitive shots to see who Dannielynn might have better resembled.

I'm surprised we haven't heard more about Birkhead's background and family... Not that it matters really.. I think I have seen something about Birkhead's sister. I think she was interviewed around the time of the Seidlin Show.. ( )

I agree...it's strange that there would not be more info about Birkhead out there. The posters on the other forum said it was on MSNBC at some point, but I couldn't find it. Managed to find out the name of his high school, but no luck there either.

I guess I'm just bored "between news days!"

So did anyone hear the full story today? My local news was reporting it but I only caught a little bit of it...I did hear she didn't die because of drugs.

Anyone know?

Yes, They are ruling it an accidental death. She had 9 different drugs in her body, but none of them was above therapeutic levels..

They attribute her death though to the chloryl hydrate an old time sleeping aid..(The same one that caused Marilyn Monroe to die.. )
They think it's interaction with the other drugs..suppressed her respiratory system and she stopped breathing.. Of course if not found right away.. everything else is affected.

They say that noone will be charged right now. But it seems to be an open question if someone might be liable civilly, or might be charged with *manslaughter*.. Right now they can't determine who gave her the last dose of chloryl hydrate which they estimated was taken 2 - 3 hours before death.. or if she took it herself. I think they are just leaving well enough alone.. until something further implicates someone in particular. Right now, they can't say for sure that Anna didn't take it herself.

I think alot of questions remain unanswered.. and I don't think that is the end of it. They didn't explain why they bought in the Bahamian officials.. They didn't explain some problems with the delay and timeline issues.

I don't know if it's true.. but one rumor I saw said the FBI are involved.. and that they are waiting for the hubub to die down.. Maybe since he has the baby, and he's out of the jurisdiction to even be charged... they are just biding their time.

I'm one who thinks there was an awful lot of things that looked odd... and seemed to smack of a coverup immediately after her death. Stories changed quite a bit!

Some of the news media are saying that they may be keeping an eye on the inquest to see if anything relevant pops up there connected to Anna. Perhaps a subtle pattern or something hospital staff or others witnessed..

I'll see if I can find a transcript of the press conference.

There are still alot of people who think something is fishy.. Then Stern has alot of supporters too. It would be a shame if he were unfairly villainized....if he really is innocent.. But I'm not so convinced yet of his innocense..

I really don't think it's over.. He could still be charged with something.. I definitely think at least 2 of the doctors.. are at fault.. Dr. Kapoor and Dr. Erosovitch..

Some of the meds that Anna was taken was actually prescribed for Stern.. and some also under aliases.. Maybe he could be charged with something related to obtaining medicine fraudulently..

They can't really charge him with anything until he returns to the States though... At least I don't think so.. Otherwise, he'd probably avoid returning!
