It seems as though SOT was attack my a spam bot. We had over 100 spam posts so I needed to go into the database to delete them. There is chance that while I was deleting the spam post that I may have accidentaly deleted a few real posts too.

If something like this happens in the future the best way to contact me about it is to use the contact link inthe main menu. I don't get automatic notices when people post in the the site feedback forum.

I just noticed I had an email in my yahoo acct. that I didn't recognize and it had an attachment. No way was I going to open it!

Not sure if it was related to the goings on here... But just in case..

The sender's name was supposedly 'Phed' and subject was 'Anthonie'.. Looked to suspicious to me..

Be on the lookout just in case..

I might delete my email addy off my personal info just in case. Although it may only help in the future if someone is trying to glean info from the site.. Might be too late this time. I think Yahoo has a way of blocking unwanted senders..


I was looking for a notify mod button but didn't see anything.. I guess I'll have to look again in case it comes up again.

Can you block the IP address of the offender?

You used the contact form in main menu? I didn't receive it!

The only thing I could figure out to do was to pull up the profile..and report the user.. Not sure if it would go straight to you or not.

The contact info on the menu...had a #... I don't have a cell so I wasn't about to try that.

I've been looking around for some other way to contact you short of pm'ing you...

I got another wierd email today similar to the one I rec'd the other day but with different people's name's.. I reported it to yahoo as spam..I think it's connected to the first one.

I may pull my email info from my profile if it's there.

I hope everyone has updated their software that protects their pc's from virus'es. Just in case!
