End of Passions 1 Year, 3 Months ago  
I was sad to find out this week that Passions is ending to add another hour on to the TODAY show... How sad is that? I love Passions and have been watching it since it first started in 1999 they have decided to let it run through until August... I also found out that they will probably not continue Days of our Lives after 2009... What has happened to NBC? Why don't they value the people who watch their soaps? Guess I will just have to find another on e to watch next fall...

Hi Heather,

This is not good news at all. Where did you hear about this? I haven't heard anything about passions ending. I love passions myself I hope this isn't true cause I would be very disappointed if that's whats going to happen.

BAD NEWS for Passion fans!

I just went and searched the web to get more info and your right Heather the final airdate is sometime in August of this year! I can't believe it. This is my favorite soap!

According to Variety, it is believed that NBC will seek "a way to keep the show alive somewhere other than the network," such as a cable channel or an internet platform


So what does this mean? I'm not understanding... if someone could explain this to me cause the show isn't being renewed for another season...

It means that it will either go to a station like USA or something like that and if that doesn't work then they would put it up on the internet and I am not sure how that platform works either you pay to watch or what have you.

I wonder if Sci-Fi would pick it back up? I know last year they had started running it, from the beginning and then for some reason took it back off. But it figures I start watching again and they'll pull it...lol. I heard rumors that SoapNet might pick it up...that'd be nice..especially if they could show episodes from the beginning too. I watched it for a couple of years and then quit...so I missed some.

I had heard that about Days after 2009, but I am hoping with this new head writer it's going to boost the ratings back up. So far I am loving him!!
