New Years' Resolutions 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
First... Warmest wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.

I make resolutions every year... sometimes I actually accomplish them... sometimes not.

My list:

I am determined to lose weight... I started feeling too comfortable with my extra weight... and for me that's not healthy.

I am going to plan menus in advance, and track my calories.

I am going to walk and continue to do strength training exercises 3x a week... starting with 10 minute sessions... baby steps for me.

I am going to pamper myself more this year... I'm really good at this once I get started. .. LOL.

SOT ladies... what are your resolutions.

Good Thread, Mazzy!!!

I want to help myself and my dd lose weight and help my whole family make better nutritional choices.

I want to curb my shopping impulses and actually put some money in savings!

I want to finish up projects around the house so we can put it up for sale at the end of next year.

I want to keep up the progress I've made in keeping my house neat and organized.......I love it that way!!

I do need to re-learn how to pamper and reward myself with non-sugar items!!

Great idea on that one Mazzy, I can tell you from experience that walking is the best thing you can do. I do about one to two miles a day and it makes you feel so great, I tell you something that will help you as well. Take a portiable cd player or something with you and listen to music, it motivates you! Drink plenty of water as well, it replaces the fluids you loose when exercising. You pretty much have the same goal that I do, I also have one to better the new mother/daughter relationship that is about to begin. Thank and praise God for sending my mother by here on Christmas eve, we finally go to talk things out and reconciled our differances and all that. So being healthy, continuing and sticking with the exercising and healthy food choices is one thing and then building up a relationship with my mother is my new years resoulutions. I have one more as well, there's a little girl around the age of two or three years old whos parents are not raising her due to her mother being hooked on crystal meth and other drugs and her dad is still on them. So her Great-Grandmother would like to talk with me and therfore my other new years resoulution would be to help them out as best I can. Thanks for the great idea and topic, it's a really great one!

Take care and God Bless always and the warmest and best wishes to you and yours in this upcoming year!

I normally don't make New Year Resolutions, but, this year I made mine early and actually started on some of them on December 23. A few of them I am starting tomorrow. I want to get fully into my challenges BEFORE the first. I'm not devulging what they are yet....maybe later.

Wish me luck. I have decided that I am making 2007 the best year I have ever had, regardless of the obstacles. I am the only person who can make this happen for me, so I am going to do it. This year I reallized some mistakes I have made. I know we all do this. I gave it much thought and I hope I learned something valuable from the mistakes I made during this past year as well as the course of my life.

Oh yeah, I have a birthday on Jan. 7, so this new year brings much opportunity for a fresh start and brighter future.
