I got a mutt!

This is a cute site!

I'm a dummy regarding how to email picts.. but maybe over the holidays I can get my tech savvy kids to help me submit some.. our mutt has an interesting story with his name.. (Gus).. The family mutt we had before him we called Moose (we have a moose collection). Because they happened to look quite abit alike... we inevitably would start with one name and end with the other.. So more than a handful of times Gus wound being called Goose..

But Gus was born August 1st.. (98) (Moose died earlier that year) His mother was a rescued beagle whose owner named her Cleo for Cleopatra..Cleo was rescued at about 1 already expecting her first litter.. The owner wanted to keep 1 puppy and named him Ceasar...
She gave me first pick of the rest and because the puppy looked so much like our beloved Moose who died earlier that year..we chose him. Considering his mother's name and brother's name and birthday.. Gus just seemed a logical choice (short for Augustus as in Ceasar Augustus..) not to mention that he was born on August 1st!

Gus looks nothing like a beagle though.. big and brown.. similar to a couple of the other mutts on Luv Mutt's site....

Very cute site.. especially for those who love mutts!

I have what you call a mut too. He's part corgie and part rottie. He's got the short legs with bulky body and he's 5 years old andhis name is Duke. I did have a picture in my comp at one time but I don't anymore not sure what I did with it. I'll have to take his picture and and post it ... but he hates taking pictures LOL not sure why but he runs and hides LOL.
