I know the feeling, as my mother's lymphoma returned after almost 4 yrs., right around the holidays this past winter. Her battle started in '99 with an egg sized lump under her arm. It's Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She's been gong thru chemo and having a hard time. We almost lost her a few times there, (early Jan, til late Feb). and my first instinct was to call two of her *sisters*, (that live in the USA, more in Scotland), to come and visit with her, before she left us.
They came ASAP, from NJ and Boston, and after they left, (we had a great time, watching mom with her two younger sisters, and us two daughters there, sharing wonderful memories, dinner and actual *laughs* during the whole time), she got better and better. It meant so much to my mom that I'd fly my Aunts out, but that's what sisters/daughters are for, right?
Today? She's up and about, ordered a 'Scooter' and is doing pretty darned good.....so there IS ALWAYS HOPE!!
(Actually she's not only doing very well, but until the past few days has been 'hell on wheels' to all of us, she suffered a stroke, and it may be Alzheiemer's/senility (sp), a bit. But she was mean as a bedbug, for a few weeks there to my sis and I. (IOW....Be careful what you wish for....
)
Seriously, tho, I really want you to get in touch with me, I have great shoulders, like grizz, tho not as hairy!
I tried mainly to pray for acceptance of whatever happens, for myself and the rest of the family, and the 'Big Guy/Gal' in the sky gave us tons of it! We all have come to accept the worst, but you know......and I know right now you won't be able to feel it, much, you'll receive it, also.
I'm sendin it your way, with prayers, and a suggestion of GREAT books, "Emmanuel's Book 1, 2 & 3".
That one series of books has given me more strength than any other, very *spiritual*, not religious, but extremely easy read, with such wonderful ways to look at life and the other side.....

Hang in there sweetie, my Mom will have a Novena and a Mass Card for your sis go out tomorrow. (She has received so many, and even if you aren't CAFlick, [like me], they do tend to work!)
