I don't know C.... Just my impression that he has tried to create a coverup of sorts.. He was an attorney... and seemed to be present at every turn.. Even in the room when Daniel died! I just get the impression that he seemed to turn a blind eye to her shenanigans and perhaps even covering up for her.

I could be totally wrong about him. I would have thought he should have advised Anna to cooperate with the authorities.. It certainly seemed ill timed for them to have a commitment ceremony and for him to profess paternity of the baby.(right after Daniel died)... There hadn't been any other leaks of the relationship.. and seemed to have caught everyone by surprise..

I do think maybe because of the enormous wealth she stood to eventually inherit that she could have been manipulated. Someone had to be supplying her with the drugs..

I could be very wrong... I just was very suspicious even after Daniel's death. Howard was the one who fetched him from the airport and bought him to the hospital.. Maybe my suspicians are a carryover from that.

So many little things regarding the new citizenship, the house they were living in and then evicted from..(supposedly) and the utilities turned off there.. I am just very skeptical...that he seemed to act more as her manager than a boyfriend/husband.

I personally never thought of him as a villian. I never watched her reality show. Personally I felt sorry. She was given opportunites and couldn't stop her self destructive spiral.... just like this whole daughter thing. She just seem to be heading to destruction with each good thing that happened in her life, as if she couldn't handle it.

With rumors of him having something to do with Daniel's death how long will it take before he is also rumored to have something to do with hers? Odd..to say the least.

I saw things exactly the same way. And the sudden "marriage" seemed convenient in that, even if not technically valid, it could be argued to prevent authorities from requiring one to testify about the other because of spousal and marital privileges. Also, Stern's alleged presence in the room when the boy died added to the suspicion. Assuming Anna Nicole was beside herself at her son's death and not making rational choices, one would have expected a true romantic partner, and a lawyer for that matter, to counsel against sudden decisions like a pseudo-marriage especially in her state of mind. There are also rules about romantic relationships with legal clients because of the conflict of interest it creates which is another basis to question his motives. I don't think of him as a "villain." I think he is someone who has some explaining to do and has yet to do it. The claim of paternity also seems less than genuine, given the timing and the fact that Anna Nicole never complied with paternity testing, a decision I believe Stern has influenced. I will be interested to see if the baby will now be taken into some sort of protective custody and the DNA sample will be taken so they can do the paternity test with the other man, and at least resolve that issue.

K....I agree that there are lots of questions to be answered. As to Stern being in the hospital room when Daniel died, I believe I heard that they were all sleeping there. That wouldn't be that unusual in "their world." Anna Nicole seemed to need constant company.

I do think that Stern indulged her every whim though, and could believe that he would try to protect her. From what, is the question though. If Daniel had just come from the airport, it's possible he may have already ingested the drugs that killed him. Do you know where he was coming from?

I wonder if Anna's death will be ruled a suicide? She seemed, at least to me, to be depressed and "broken" after Daniel's death.
I just happened to catch a snippet of an (old)interview,in which she said that everything good in her life always seemed to have a dark cloud following it.

C, I agree... it is sad. She really was a beautiful woman. I have no animosity toward her or Howard.. Obviously, we can only speculate and there are certainly a hundred different directions this could go..

Just having that money looming in the background certainly casts a gloomy picture of the whole sequence of events.

She cut off her own family..

Some of the news media are speculating that if Daniel had a genetic heart defect, than it is possible that she might have too. I also heard that losing her weight quickly (supposedly using Trimspa) could have thrown her bodies mechanisms off.. and make her susceptible to heart problems.

Maybe suicide was a factor.. They hadn't mentioned why she was at the resort. It was stated that Stern was at the complex too although not with her.. The baby was still in Nassau..

I did see one article that mentioned she wasn't feeling well and had flu like symptoms and a fever..

It really is sad.. I hope that Stern does make himself available to answer questions.. eventually. I wonder what kind of lawyer he was..

I am sure it was very traumatic to lose her son the way she did... and then to possibly risk the loss of her daughter if Birkhead was proven to be the father and she was deemed unfit to parent her.

But I got to say, she was pretty messed up even before that all happened.. But it could have been enough to send her to the point of no return.. She was in a no win situation..
