If I where in his position, I still wouldn't have done what he did. He was a guest on the show and he if couldn't get a word in I would have let her speak and make her look like a dummy cause she does a great job doing it all by herself.

Yes, I'm certainly not saying she's not a perky motormouth....'cuz she is. BUTTT, that's one of the reasons she was hired years ago.....for that quality. Her and Regis have a relationship and therefore can treat each other differently and have it not be a sign of disrespect.

BUTTTTTTTTTT.......younger and newer "celebs", especially males, need to be extra careful and considerate. After all, when they're a guest host (which always means that they get SOME time to plug their own stuff) it's HER show..........if Clay Aiken wants to be in the limelight and interview stars then he can start his own show!!!!!!!!! She's paid her dues and been around for years. He also knows exactly what she's like...........she IS like that all the time, either you enjoy her or not. He went on the show for more exposure and fame.

I like watching the Regis and Kelly show, and when she gets over the top, I fast forward. But Clay was disrespectful and shooting out one-line zingers way before the hand over the mouth incident!!!

AND........let me just say this..........TOTAL invasion of personal space and germs on my MOUTH would make me most likely knock someone into next week.............it's GROSS!!!!!!!

I didn't see it... but I didn't even know that Clay was gay... Did Rosie 'out' him? Or was he already outed...

Yes, Kelly can be annoying... but it's also different if you are that personal with someone you know well (like Regis) versus someone you don't know very well invading your personal space...

I wouldn't have equated what she said though to gay bashing.. I just wouldn't want someone I didn't know sticking their hand over my mouth...

And as far as the Rosie end of things.. and the View... I don't think every discussion has to have sexual innuendo thrown in. Seems like Rosie always takes it to the next level... or finds a way to go that way with the conversation.

One week she was talking about hair dye.. and it went into a really silly and moreso stupid monologue.. Finally someone changed the topic back to where it was supposed to be..
(she had shifted the topic to hair dye...to hair dye being available for your personal area.. she got a bit graphic..) I just get a feeling she's trying out new comedy material..

There had been speculation out about Clay and his sexual orientation due to the lack of being seen by a string of girls. He had denied he was gay months ago but some choose to believe he's gay anyways. It doesn't matter to me.

It seem that because he's not sleeping around with women.. some automatically believe it's because he's not into girls. He told Inside edition he was tired of it all and knows no matter what he says there are going to be some that will insist he is gay and some that will think differently.

He was rude and acting snotty.
