Madonna adopts Malawi boy 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Madonna was on the today show on Nov. 1 with Meredith Vieira doing a interview about the adoption of her new family member David Banda a 13 month old Malawi boy. In the interview Madonna mentioned that David’s mom died from aids and his siblings also died. David’s dad was out of the picture and wanted nothing to do with him and was put in an orphanage.

It’s sad to hear that some people think it was a publicity stunt or in need for attention because of her reputation in the past. Some also believed when she had her daughter it was a publiclity stunt?.

Madonna is a strong 48 yr old woman and I know she would do right. I think whoever doesn’t like should click their heels and say to themselves I NEED A LIFE!, with out her help and care she gave to David he would not be here today. We need more people like her and other celeb’s that can afford and care for these children. Madonna followed the rules and the law and did nothing wrong. My congrats goes out to her.

I saw Madonna on Oprah being interviewed about the adoption. I thought she did a great job of explaining everything. Whatever the press or whoever it was tried to imply with their stories slamming her is outrageous. It really angers me that people would tear someone down for trying to do a great thing such as saving someone's life. I don't get it. Why was there no criticism when Angelina Jolie adopted a child from Cambodia and Africa?

I think Madonna has set the record set and shown all those who would bad mouth her about this how absurd they really are.

The last couple of years I have not been a Madonna fan. I lost interest in her music and frankly thought she was too much of a diva for my test...always acting better than others and putting on that fake British accent, but, I have decided to let that go and give her another chance. This adoption matter has changed my opinion of her for the better. Besides, it doesn't matter what I think. If she is a good parent for a child who is homeless, what else matters?

I also saw the interview with Madonna on Oprah. I agree that she did a great job explaining everything. Her new son is one lucky little boy.

Madonna seems to love children...

If I remember correctly... I believe she wrote a children's book.

My daughter went to a Madonna concert this year... no air conditioning... something about it's not good for her voice. The concert was during the summer, and was more than a little uncomfortable. This is the first time I heard of a singer enforcing such a rule. Oh well.

From the clips I have seen of her last couple of concerts, it appears that she needs all the air she can get. Every clip I have seen shows her out of breath and struggling to keep up with the music. I know she is in good shape but, her voice was so weak and breathless that I felt sorry for her. I would not enjoy watching her struggle through a show that way. She sounded this way on the last 2 tours.

I'm with you all!!!!!!! She's making a HUGE difference in little David's life as well as every single child in Malawi!!!

Yes, I wish I had the money to help like she does, but the truth of what kind of person you are is what you do with what you have! If you have a lot of resources and use those..........that's to be commended. Just as if you have little, but still use what you have, that's to be commended.

It's so sad the press these days. I KNOW that's not what our forefathers meant about "freedom of the press".........they would have been appalled at the paparazzi today and what they do!!

Here is a picture of baby david he's so cute.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=416473&in_page_id=1773

Madonna wants to adopt again a baby girl same village as where David is from. I don't understand how easy it is for these celeb's to adopt so quickly where regular people it takes years.

Anyhow, I am happy for Madonna for wanting to adopt another baby.
