Starting Over Talk

Below is a _link_ to a short recap of Christine's appearance on the Dr. Keith Ablow show. She was on Oct. 26th. She only got on for a short time but made it seem like she got herself off the street. Not a mention of SO at all. What an ingrate.

Christina was already off the streets when she entered the SO house. The reason SO wasn't mentioned could be out of Christina's control too.

Christine had just quit less than 2 weeks before she came into the house. And she quit because she knew she was going to leave for California. Her last day dancing was the day she met her boyfriend. I remember there being conversation about her being so attached to him and she hardly knew him.
As for it being beyond her "control" to mention SO, I doubt it, but I am sure it is a much better story without saying she quit the biz to go on a reality show. She made it sound like her mother helped her get off the streets and that is definitely not true. They had her mom come to the SO house so that the coaches could help her break the news to her mom, who didn't have a clue.
Plus I don't know how intriguing they found her story for Ablow, since she was on the first five minutes and that was it. She even had on the outfit she was given for SO graduation. Thankfully she had a different hair cut, she looked quite lovely.

Being a stripper and being on the streets are not the same thing!

She could have mentioned SO and it could have been edited out for many different reasons. I'm sure Dr Ablow knows about the show SO.

I think she hadn't been too far out of the business either. I recall her saying something about having met Paul (her then boyfriend) about a month before coming into the house. I thought she said she met him at a strip club too... and said that he didn't normally go to those type places except he had that night. I think she was just trying to win brownie points for him with Iyanla and the housemates..

I know there was alot of rumors about her stay in the house and a possible affair with one of the camera crew. Her inital myspace account after leaving the house showed a mixed up kid... I recall seeing an attempt at a regular post SO experience but alot of suggestive comments left by some guys... Then I recall some questionable shots (provocative ) Soon after her myspace was closed.. Then a few months later it was revived.. much more tastefully. I think she may have backslid a bit... Just a guess... If there was some truth to the affair... and her staying in L.A. for a time.. I can see that it might have happened.. It was also RUMORED that when Iyanla found out about the affair (via Jessica) that that was the reason Christina wasn't invited back to the finale.

But she seems to have gotten back on track. Hopefully anyway. I guess she's realizing that Real Estate, crochet and lip gloss are not easy career options. ( She was hawking crocheted caps and homemade lip gloss on Ebay for a time) I read the recap of the show and looks like now she is concentrating aesthetician(ing)... Skin care I think? I thought she was trying to pursue some modeling gigs too... Or at least she indicated that one time on her myspace.

I always wondered if the SO crew didn't happen on Christina when they were in Las Vegas with the SO2 ladies near the end of their season. Which would have been in January there abouts of 2005.. SO3 started filming in July I think.. I don't know why I thought that... but it's just a hunch.. Maybe she was trying to give up the life _style_ then and began to tie up loose ends and moved back to NC. It didn't sound like she had been back in NC very long.

I wish I had seen that Dr. Ablow piece.. I am sure they would have downplayed SO... as that would have thrown off the topic...
She didn't tell her mom about what she was doing until well into her stay at SO.

I just knew this would happen. The minute I stop watching Dr. Ablow, someone comes on that I want to see. Rats! After all of the boring, wierd stuff I didn't want to see and then this.

Oh well, if she didn't mention SO, I would have gone ballistic anyway. I guess it's for the best.

It seems odd though, don't you think to not mention SO and if she did talk about it and the show edited it out, then that is also really bizarre! I think it makes for a really great and interesting story to describe her experience.

Obviously there are not contracts that forbid discussion of the experience on SO as there are many other former hg that talk about it and have it on their blogs.
