I'm really enjoying local honey. And a friend just got some Agave Nectar to try because the glycemic index and the way the body uses it is supposed to be better. I have to do some research on it, but it tastes pretty good in herbal tea!!

mazzy..............just cooked the pork loin in the oven at 360* for approx an hour. we just used a meat thermometer so we wouldn't overcook it............that way it's nice and juicy!!!

I'm with you on the missing spinach.......it'll be nice to have that fresh option again!!

I haven't tried the organic eggs yet as I get squeamish about eggs that have even the possibility of being fertilized. Since most organic eggs are from farms where the hens and roosters roam free.........I haven't been able to do that yet! I had a gross-out a few years ago cracking one open... If any come from farms that only have hens, let me know and I'd love to switch!!

I've tried raw unfiltered honey... it had a pleasant flowery taste, and I've tried organic honey which tastes like regular honey to me. I'm still now sure which one is healthier.

I've also tried something called 100% pure bee pollen granules from Florida... local pollen. I find it has a bitter taste, but is supposed to be very healthy. I found I had more energy after taking it, but it may be mind over matter.

Re: Bread

It's not easy buying bread. LOL

I've been reading labels... I'm learning that enriched flour is not a healthy choice... sugar free bread has high frutose corn syrup... also not a good choice.

I've tried Costco rye bread... not enriched, but lots of things I cannot pronounce. Bread from Whole Foods seem a bit healthier. 100% whole wheat wraps by Lavash seems to be a good choice.

Any brand suggestions?

I learned recently that the 12 grain breads have less fiber the 7 grain.

LOL

I never gave much thought about buying bread... it can be a project if you want to eat healthy... reading the ingredient label is a job in itself.

The quest for purchasing the "healthy" bread continues. LOL

That is so true!! I thought I was doing a good thing buying the 12 grain bread!!!

I think I'll just stick with the whole wheat bread, but I sure LOVE potato bread!!!!

I think I'll also try experimenting with our breadmaker more often, we have whole wheat better-for-bread flour. I bet it'll taste pretty good hot and fresh!!
