Thought I'd open a topic that might generate some new conversation!

In general, I haven't really gotten into any new show with the exception of Ugly Betty... Which is light entertainment for the most part.

I'm really not a reality show buff.. But have watched the season's dancing with the Stars a bit, The Biggest Loser... and a few episodes of Deal or No Deal.. As far as new dramas, I had high hopes for the Anne Heche one...but it hasn't worked out to see it beyond the first week. I had taped the second episode but still never got a chance to watch it.. Brothers and Sisters initially looked promising...but it didn't grab me the first night at all.

Anyway.. there seems to be at least 30 new shows or more.. I keep seeing new commercials for ones I've never even heard of! It sounds like as shows bite the dust they have others waiting in the wings.. It's all too confusing..

I find myself not even interested in the old talk shows.. I didn't much care for what I saw of Megan's show or Rachel Ray's show... I'm on the fence about Greg Behrendt's show. I think he's a mixed bag just trying to find his way. He'll sink or swim I guess... He'll either get worse or better! I'm sure it's nerve racking doing a show in a venue you've never used and he just has to get his experience in..

I find myself checking out my old standby favorite court shows, or a TLC program.. Or even checking out old reruns on Hallmark.

Which new shows do you consider worthy to be Keepers!

Six Degrees has my vote for the best new show this season. I like the cast and the story lines.

You're right......................lots of the new ones just don't have "it"!!

I do like Vanished for a new one. And Ugly Betty...............other than that I think mostly we love the shows that have been around for a couple of seasons!!

I don't like many of the new shows either. I have been keeping up with Brothers and Sisters, but I must force myself to, which is unfortunate. This is a great cast with bad writing and bad character development. Of course I said bad things about Desperate Housewives before they took home all those Emmys. LOL.

Apparently Calista Flockhart is playing the same character as Alley McBeal. She's just like her except for her politics. All the emotional baggage, hang ups, etc. I know Calista can play different roles b/c I have seen her do it. Her acting is not the problem. It's the writing. I'll keep watching and hope they do something about the writing. Sally Fields is great considering the script they have given her. And the alcohol this family drinks! They do it in the midst of one family member who is in drug rehab
What a mess. Are they clueless? Many scenes involve them drinking and getting drunk, even the mother. It is quite bizarre.

I do like the fact they have written a storyline about one of the children who is a type I Diabetic. I hope this can bring some education on this disease to the attention to the viewers.

I don't like any of the new talk shows. I love The View, which in my opinion is like a completely new show.

Maybe my attention span has just disappeared but I can't get into most of the shows for more than 5 minutes. I didn't get into Men and Trees, Six Points of Separation, Vanished....they just don't hold my interest. I can't even get into Ugly Betty.

i do like ugly betty...the actress is quite endearing i think...I also kinda like heroes and I'm curious to see where its going....unfortunately, i do not think its going to be around long. also like Shark , but then i'm a BIG James Woods fan.

I love Studio 60 with Matthew Perry. It was really good last night. I guess I am in the minority as far as Ugly Betty. I tuned in and saw the one where she was in the leather outfit and they were all laughing at her and I found that so painful, I had to turn the channel. It really brought tears to my eyes. I figure the point of the show is that Betty comes out on top, but I couldn't get past that scene.
I think that is the only new show I really watch. I can't watch tons of tv but I do not miss America's Next Top Model (I know I am almost ashamed to admit it and don't know why I love it so), Boston Legal is my favorite and I love Rescue Me and Project Runway. We try to see Deal or No Deal if the girls homework is done. Oh and Dancing with the Stars. We only tune in to the end of the results show to see who gets cut. Gosh maybe I do watch too much tv!!!! I can't believe how much I have gotten into reality shows. My husband hates them.

Has anyone seen Intervention? I made my teenage daughter watch it one night so she could see what someone who is high looks like. It was not pretty. It is on at 10pm on Monday nights, but I can't remember what channel.
