Did anyone else read that when the producers of "Good Morning America" were driving with him in SF in the company limo, they went to the school where he used to be an assistant teacher. As they approached the school he, (John Karr) jumped out of the limo and ran to the window at the school and was peering in it when a SF poiiceman stopped him. The producers of ABC were so disgusted with his "disturbed" behavior that they decided to scrap the interview, regardless of sweeps and potential ratings. Good, he's already HAD his 10 minutes of fame! Good riddance.

I know I'll get skewered for this, but, legally the courts must enforce the same rules of evidence for guilty people as they do the innocent. I DO agree that he is scum and a definite danger to society, but, if you ignore the constitution in his case, then where does that stop? I try to look at this way: What if my brother were charged with a crime he did NOT commit? What if the state claimed they had proof that my brother committed the crime but they lost it? The law says the state cannot prosecute my brother without the evidence, so he is set free and the charges are dropped. In this scenerio, the law worked well, but, in a case like Karr, it seems to be an injustice. However, if we don't apply it all the time, no matter who the defendant is, then we may get it wrong.

I know, I know, many people don't agree with this, I guess we get this drilled into our heads in law school. One good thing is that the notoriety Karr has gotten may make him more recognizable and therefore allow people to steer clear from him.

I shudder at the people who are AS sick or SICKER than he is who hide it from everyone. So we have no notice to be aware of them. Most of these monsters look like the dad or granddad next door. That's why I get so upset when people say, Oh, they're a nice person, there's no way they could have done something like that." This is soooo untrue. Somethings about people you just don't know. The same kind of evil that Karr is could be teaching your children at school or coaching their ball team. It's very frightening.

Has Karr actually been released from custody? I suspect he could be killed by a hit man. It would not surprise me.<br><br>Post edited by: Debby, at: 2006/10/09 14:23

I agree with you Deb and as much as we hate this man you do have a point.

He still a sick sick man! hope he gets what he deserves someday.
