Oh brother..

The commercial I saw for the show made it look silly...
The show is called "I pity the fool"... According to a news report the show will be him going around the country..dispensing advice for people's problems.

I like Mr. T...but it seems hard to think that with his 'character' that people would take him seriously. I think he does have alot of genuine integrity... and cares about people..but he's never shed his A-team personna..

Maybe that's the point.. ??? No nonsense kind of guy..

Yahoo..has and article up today... about the show..and apparently dubbed "Is Mr T qualified to give advice"?

I checked it out briefly and just seemed to be more of a promotion for the show..

One of the upcoming episodes looks like it might be about why he gave up his signature gold chains and stuff. I think that was fairly recent after working with the Katrina victims.. Maybe he had an epiphany about the issue as related to materialism.

Now that I look at his sites briefly, and recognize the network he's airing from...It's clear that his target audience may be younger... I can see where he might have some appeal there. Or is tvland more targeted to baby boomers?

I have just been surprised with the suddenness of hearing about Mr. T and an advice type show... As much as they say he'll be addressing people's problems... I don't see that he'll in any way be competing with Oprah and Dr. Phil.. But who knows.. stranger things have happened!

One other interesting link... I happened to find a link someone wrote about a video geared to kids that he did. This show may be a spinoff...

I think Mr. T. is more of a motivational speaker... or is trying to be.

Yuck... I'm not a Mr. T fan... saw him for a few minutes on Martha Stewart... couldn't wait for the segment to end. LOL

Just think... Mr. T gets a show, and our SO gets cancelled. Oh well... guess that's show biz. LOL

Now if we heard that Dr. Stan was hosting a show... wow... you know I would tune in. LOL

Well, we watch t.v. land.........especially with the insomnia!! I thought it seemed like many of the nick at nite and tv land original shows.........just supposed to be a funny little sideshow. Not a serious show at all. I may be wrong...........but that's how I've always taken any of those shows to be!! Just kind of like brainless silliness.

i just caught this show last night and i loved it! mr. t is hilarious, has tons of charisma and is putting out a very positive message. he went to a car dealership to motivate the sales team, and improve the relationship of the father son owners. he really gave it to one of the sleazy salesman and taught him that it's better to keep a customer happy and have repeat business than to squeeze every dime out of them. mr. t just seems like a great motivator and he has toned his image down a bit. my husband enjoyed the show a lot too. give it a try he may not be qualified to give advice, but he did give good advice and at least he is a positive person. next week he is going to a family that has a super lazy dad who won't even get off the recliner to grab the tv remote, he going to try to get him to be involved with his family.
