I am a nana to 3 beautiful grandchildren, live in NC, and am heartbroken that SO will not return (although I keep hoping!)
I am retired now but I have grown more that I could ever tell you from SO. I have often thought I should have auditioned...but I would never have the nerve to let all of my issues be aired to the world.
I came from a life of all kinds of abuse (some self inflicted) to become a happily married wife and mom....for 35 years. I have often said that my husband saved my life and SO helped me to sort it out at a level I never realized.<br><br>Post edited by: Firefall, at: 2006/09/29 11:52

Hi Firefall. Thanks for the intro. I think everyone at SOT is hearbroken that there may never be a return of SO. I know that many on this board campaigned long and hard to keep the show afloat but to no avail. I still have faith some how, some way, the fans of SO will actually get either a replacement type show or a reunion of sorts from SO. At least I hope to get some DVD's of all the seasons.

It's great you have a 35 year old happy marriage. THat is incredible. I am from North Carolina as well! There are many wonderful people from there. I hope to see you on the board.

I too live in NC, Albemarle to be exact and I've watched Starting Over twice each day. If I knew I wasn't going to be at home I would record it. There are some episodes that I felt spoke directly to me and so those I did not erase. Now I'm really glad I saved it now that SO doesn't seem to be returning any time soon.

Hey Diamond, it's a small world. I once dated a guy from Albemarle. He was such a nice and kind person. He spoke fondly of the place.

SO touched the lives of so many people here in NC. I don't know if it had anything to do with the number of HG that were from here or not... Allison, Bethany, Chistina that I am aware of. But, at any rate, SO also has fans from all around the world. They used to be quite a few posters here from Austrailia.
