I caught a few minutes of The View this morning. Rosie started a conversation on trans fats... seems a law was passed in New York banning the use of trans fats. Rosie was joking... I hope... LOL. She said something about what was she to do without the trans fats in her french fries... then said something about it should be an individuals choice whether or not they wanted trans fats in their food.

I've heard other people state something similar, and I can't imagine why anyone would want something that is harmful in their food. I think this law should be passed in all states. The only benefit I can see is the profit the establishments selling or using these foods or products make. How does the consumer benefit?

I saw part of the conversation. I think I missed the first couple of minutes.. I have no problem with them outlawing the trans fats.. they are slowly doing it in consumer products. I'm sure the law will become more widespread... (Somehow I thought it was just New York city...)

Of course tuning in while they were discussing this topic... made me wish they'd get into the aspartame debate sometime.

Moderation is probably the key... whatever moderation is... LOL

I think the problem is that these products have an addictive quality, and it's hard to practice moderation. I also believe the problem with these foods are that the human body has trouble processing them.

I can't understand how strange some of the topics have gotten..

They started talking about an art teacher.. and showed a piece of his art work.. on the screen behind the set.. At first glance it looks like tulips .. 3 of them.. Come to find out the artist did the art work with his butt and private parts.. by sitting on the canvas.. (3 times) and using his private parts to create the center part of the flowers..

Part of the conversation was whether he should be teaching jr. high art students.. I think he may have been suspended or reprimanded.. Not quite sure.. But of course open the topic for Rosie and Joy...and they were good to go!

Was strange... I'm still on the fence about the new View..

Any word on what Star is up to these days? Rosie mocked her today... in a little exchange with Barbara.. I just haven't heard a thing about Star lately. I had wondered if Star might have been Barbara's surprise guest on her special last night. (I didn't watch it though..and Mazzy has since said it was Nancy Pelosi instead..)

Tomorrow's show.. they are showing a piece that Rosie, Joy and Elisabeth did in the Cash Cab... seems I heard something about that show on this forum... but I've never seen it nor do I know what channel it's on. Seems like it is a new gimmick..that has caught on... New type of trivia show! Anyway.. it looked like it would be fun to catch the show.. they showed a clip..

The art thing was beyond words..

The art topic was weird indeed!! If he wants to do that, whatever.....but if he wants to be famous for it, then maybe it's not so hot to be a role model.

We LOVE to watch Cash Cab!! It's on at 3 p.m. on the Discovery channel out here!!

Rosie was in rare form today... she went off on Donald Trump and Miss USA... I wonder how "the Donald" will react? When she did that thing with her hair to make a pomador and started imitating him I was thinking... she'll be in the news... she'll get in trouble... I wonder if Barbara will say anything about this on air... LOL
