I'm planning to catch this show tonight...

Glad you started a thread for that show. I plan to watch it...

Would be fun to have some regular dialogue about it..

The show was good (not great)... good cast, interesting storyline, but slow to begin. I'll give it a chance, and watch again.

You're right Mazzy. I gave it 10 minutes and then changed the channel. I went back later and it had picked up so I then watched the rest of the show and it was better.

The show has a great cast. If you can't do WONDERS with that cast, you are in bad shape. The writing is the problem I think. Much of the dialogue, especially in the beginning, was old... stuff people have said sooooo many times...burned dinner, upset with family members, yada yada.... they also handled it the same old way you've seen it done before.

Did I miss something? Isn't the youngest son a drug addict/alcoholic? Wasn't he and everyone else in the family turning up the beer and wine at the last dinner together? What's that all about?

Because I know these actors, I kept hanging in there, because if anyone can save a _script_, it's them.

Why kill off Tom Skerritt? He is wonderful. I would have loved for him to hang around.

As much as I love the actors on this show, the writing may just kill it. I'll give it another chance or two or three.

I really enjoyed this show.....great character developement, and storyline. I think that this family is very believable. I am looking forward to seeing it this Sunday!

I liked it, too!

Although I also love Tom Skerritt and didn't like him dying in the first episode, I wonder(ed) if they will bring him back to life like they did in "Six Feet Under" to dialogue with the other characters.
Hmmm, just a thought.

Anyway, I like the show and hope to catch it again. My problem is, I don't pay attention to when shows are on so if I happen to "catch" the show on the right night I'm pleasantly surprised. Otherwise I'll have to catch the feedback from you all! So thanks in advance!
