Starting Over Talk

It has finally happend, something I've prayed for all my 19 years has finally gotten answerd. I'm going to see my mom tomorrow, and for the first time ever we're going to have fun and do something together. Things a mother and daughter should do with one another, I knew my prayer would be answerd one day. I never turned my back on my mom or dad either one, I forgave them and just pray for them every day. God will deal with them and things will work out for the best. To Gods will and in HIS timing not mine, but I've been so blessed all my life really everyone n the world is. Most just don't take the time to thank and praise God for what they have, but I do and can't do it enough. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and know it will be a wonderful day and experience for both my mom and I, just had to share the good news. I've seen her before, just never really done anyting together and had a good time, so this is the first time ever we'll be doing something good and healthy together. I also hope to build a relationship with her, and a healthy one rather than a bad one with fighting or things like that. If I had to choose a bad one or not one anat all, I'd say not have one I don't want one with bad things in it. I know that as ling as I continue to pray about it and leave it in Gods hands, things will be fine.

I'm glad you'll get to spend time with your mom. I'll be praying that the day goes smoothly... Building an adult relationship with your mom will take some time... But it's a great start..

Thanks, I'll try my best to enjoy it as much as I can as long as I can get over being sick I'll be fine. I really hope she doesn't just use me to get what she wants and then just throw me to the curb like she has done before.

Thanks, yes it will take time and everything, but it will work out. I could have turned my back on her and my dad both like they did on me, but I'm more mature and everything that. I'm better than that and will do both what I know is right and what I know God wants me to do as well which is the most important.

This gives me reason for pause and to reflect on my forgiveness issues with my parents. I commented on it last week in the thread about forgiveness. It's courageous of you to approach your mom with forgiveness and an open heart after the hurt you have suffered.
