Here is a review of the today's show..(Rosie's debut on the View)..(from a yahoo source)

I didn't know that Joy and Elisabeth rubbed each other the wrong way???? Also other tidbits that might have gotten lost in the show...

Thanks KPW... good review... it just about covered the show if anyone missed it.

I also didn't know that Joy and Elisabeth rubbed each other the wrong way... I like Elisabeth from her stint on Survivor... but the lady does have tunnel vision, and can express her opinions in an annoying way. Oh well... no one is perfect... LOL

I was actually very pleasantly surprised that it went very well. No ratings-grabbing drama with gossip about Star or other junk. I thought the show went well. Well, I'll catch it occasionally.........not something I'll watch everyday.

I really like The View and always have. I also admire Barbara Walters and think she did a wonderful job at the helm of the show after Meredith and Star left, however, she's got me a little worried.

When Star left, there was an exposure of certain misinformation,
that Barbara provided to the public. She admitts this.
Last week I saw a short interview with her and the other co-hosts and the interviewer asked Rosie if it were true that the show had her sign a contract that she not cut her hair, referring to the time she shaved one side of her head. Before she could answer, Barbara chimed in and said that all of the co-hosts have this provision in their contract. Barbara then looked over at Elisabeth and realized that Elisabeth has a new short hair cut. Barbara then back steps and tries to explain by just saying, well, Elisabeth does have a new hair cut. This didn't explain anything and made her look silly and also as if she was not being truthful. What's going on?

If you remember, Barbara had a bet with Elisabeth that if she was not pregnant by the fall, she would cut her hair. I guess she isn't, but have you noticed how much weight Elisabeth has lost in the last month? She has always been very thin but she looks as if she has lost 15 pounds since the season finale. Do mood stabilizers cause weight loss? She was definitely manic during many of the last season's programs. I'm sure someone must have intervened to get her some help.

Interesting points Debby. I agree that things at the View are just odd right now. And, yes, actually many prescribed anti-depressants, etc. have weight-loss as a side effect.

In fact........I often thought I should go on one......BUTTTTTTTTT, as I'm totally the OPPOSITE of depressed, who knows what strange side effects it might have on ME??????? Murphy's Law being what it is.........***I'd*** probably GAIN weight!!!!!!!!!!

I caught the beginning of the show on Thursday... what I did not like was the women talking over each other. I find it so distracting when they do this... I think it is very unprofessional... I guess the women of the view need time to settle in. The first show was good, but I'm not so sure of the mix. My favorite part is the beginning when they discuss hot topics... I hope they get their act together... something seems to be missing.

I was looking around for any consensus regarding the revamped "The View"..

I kept seeing info about Barbara not wanting Rosie to 'blog'.. I wondered about her blog and found a link..

I thought it interesting... You might too..

http://www.rosie.com/

One thing mentioned in one area of her site is a question and answer type format.. Someone asks about the the new couch on the set of The View. It sounded as though the panel cannot see the audience. I don't know if it's due to a screen or if it's just positioned in a way that allows them not to be distracted by the audience.

Here is another link about the so called touching up of The View's publicity shot. I'm glad Rosie has a sense of humor about it..
