I agree that the farewell presentation they had to honor Meredith was in poor taste. I didn't like any of it. Some of the comments made in the presense of Meredith's children who were sitting on the front row, were outrageous. I am considered a liberal person and I like comedy, but, good taste is something you have or you don't. The show was lacking that day.

I have heard that the show wants to attract a younger crowd. So they want a young person. I assume someone under 25. Since they have no women of color on the panel, I assume they want to add that as well. I think Robin Gibbons did well yesterday, but, she is not in the right age range.

When they fired Debbie, they may have wanted an intellectual, but now, I don't think that matters anymore. They hardly discuss anything but adultery, dieting, celebrities, and shoes.

Good point Debby............I really do miss the deeper and more interesting conversations and subjects!!! You know...........most of us really aren't very shallow!!!!

The other about the first show with Rosie slated for Sept 5th. They are already declaring that Jessica Simpson will be the first guest that enters the new arena with Rosie at the helm.

It's been mentioned a couple times in these or other articles that the show isn't going to make a decision until after the fall season starts about Star's replacement. Maybe they'll be trying on more ladies after the panel makes it's debut in September. Too many changes at once is disruptive. Let Rosie settle in I guess and then make the decisions.

The way that I see it, "The View" is in the middle of reorganization. Like ALL companies going through a period such as this, there will be a time of "Flux" so to speak. Meredith left for a new opportunity. Starr left because she blew it (IMO)....It was past time for Starr to leave.

Though I am not a huge fan of Rosie, I amlooking forward to see how all of this comes together in the Fall.

Sometimes, "A Guest Host" is just a "Guest Host".

I wonder what Star got from the letter writing campaign....an apology from ABC?....Nah.... I don't think so.

I think Jessica Simpson will certainly bring in the viewers, but, honestly, hasn't this girl been worn out? I'm tired of the same old thing about her and her marriage breakup. I don't really care what she has to say about it. But, you know I'll have to watch it.

Did you hear about all the stars are going to be appearing as guest on Nip Tuck, including Rosie ODonnell? Oh, I think this might should be in another thread. I'll post more about it when I find out more under TV programs.
