I was in University on this day! We were in class and did not hear about it until after! The way I found out was heading to the cafeteria before my next class and the place was full! Every where there was a television it was on. I will never forget this day because the whole University was silent, crying, and people were scattered all over! Classes were cancelled and we all had to sit in silence! This day my heart cried many tears and I could not believe my ears! It was a day so quiet we could actually hear a pin drop in the cafeteria and it was lunch time! There was plenty of tension being represented on this day! Lights were out and eyes glued to the screens! it was a long day!

This affected many that day and we talked about it in our classes after and it was non-stop and learning how people were reacting and being opened my eyes to many different ways of how they cope! How could any thing this tragic happen to people? We have learned lots from this day and afterwards and how quickly it is to loose someone you love and care about in just a few minutes!

We all huddled together and shared our pain, horror, terror, and sadness! I felt sorry for our students who represented the countries who did the terror attacks! We actually had a newslater delivered to us telling us that these students were not the ones who did the terror attacks! That day my tears poured, and all I could do is pray for healing after these attacks! When Jessica was doing her healing, my heart felt for her and I wonder how she is doing and where is she?

I will never know the real fears because I was here and when I think about all the shows they have, I have to wonder if the survivors recieve any support from these big movie producers and are the monies being used to create programs and healing opportunities for our survivors and family who lost their loved ones. Each year my heart goes out to this day! I light a candle each year for every one!

Every day before my family goes out the door we all say how much we love one another because you never know what could happen that day!

I was running a register at a Northeast Georgia Wal-Mart. When I took my first 15 minute break, a co-worker told me that her husband had called and told her a plane had just hit the WTC. I thought it was a Tim McVeigh type, flying a small plane. After the second plane hit, I suspected Bin Laden, because of the 1993 bombing. Then, back at my register, I heard a customer telling another co-worker about the plane crashing in Pennsylvania. I suspected that the passengers had taken over and crashed it. I heard about the plane hitting the pentagon last. My husband, who I was dating at the time, filled me in on what he knew and took me to lunch where we could watch TV coverage. When I came back to work, Wal-Mart headquarters had switched from their own radio to CNN's so associates and customers could stay up-to-date on the situation.
