OMG.............I just read that Steve Irwin was killed. Ironically, by a stingray (whose sting is rarely fatal). That is incredibly sad. My family has really enjoyed watching his shows. His wife and kids will carry on..........my heart breaks for them. I know he was wacky and seemed to take a lot of chances........but preservation and enlightenment was everything to them.

Anyway.........so young..........only a few years older than me. Life is too short!

I was also very sad to hear that Steve Irwin was killed. He had such a zest for life. My heart goes out to his family...

I thought I heard that the stingray was very poisonous... but in this case it wasn't the stinger or poison that killed him. The tail of the ray pierced his heart.

My most sincere sympathies go out to Stever Irwin's family. He seemed like such a neat guy whenever he was on TV. I'm sure that working with animals in the wild was the way he would want to go.

I'm sure you're right dbmcmommy, and he sure left a fantastic legacy!! But it's really just been weighing on my mind...........a reality check if you will. How would any of us go on in that situation. I just really want to appreciate each day with my kiddos and my hubby and not take anything for granted.

The entire Irwin family is also in my thoughts and prayers. I guess it's the only thing I can really do for them!

Hello guys, I was also shocked by this tragic death. I loved watching Steve. I agree Grizz with you that life is short, and I have been really focusing on life. I have been also dreaming bits and pieces of my childhood that I never thought about until my "awareness". Life is short............. Back to the main topic . I hope his family will have the comfort and support that they will need at this time.
