Has anybody esle heard about Monique replacing Star Jones on the View? I was just watching one of those Entertainment shows and it was about Monique having an issue on an airplane. I was half listening but she mentioned something about being interviewed to be on the view. She also said she is going to be on again tommorow.

Debby had also mentioned something.

According to the View's website.. MoNique was a guest on Monday but will be the celebrity guest host tomorrow. I didn't see Monday's show...but Debby says she was really rude and obnoxious to Joy.

I think according to the website, they go on hiatus after this week or next. Then they won't be taping with live audiences... until September. I imagine they'll make a decision about a new cohost fairly soon.

I doubt that they'd pair Rosie and Monique on the same panel. I am already wondering if Rosie and Joy might be a problem... Having 3 comedienne cohosts would be WAY too much!

Debby and I speculate that Elisabeth might be planning an exit. Trying to conceive, would give her an out virtually anytime she wants.. Either leaving to concentrate on 'the process' or because she winds up pregnant in the next month or 2.

I think the show format has had the rug pulled out from under it with the departure of Meredith and then Star. I wouldn't blame Elisabeth if she is trying to depart with dignity and her career intact.

Tara, Monique was kicked off the plane that was flying her to NY to film a guest spot on The View. She says an agument about a hairdryer in the overhead storage caused the problem. She was on a few shows venting her outrage of how poorly she was treated on the plane. The airlines says she was a safety threat.

When she described the incident, she herself admitted that she kept telling the airline attendant that she would not be addressed in the mannner she considered rude. I don't know. I don't know what to think. I think that if an airline attendant asked me something or told me to do something regarding my luggage, I would comply and complain later to the captain when I was exiting the plane or later inside the terminal, if I thought they were rude. I don't think I would get into a war of words as other passengers are boarding and stand my ground to the point that I was kicked off my flight. Especially when I have work lined up in another city.

She was so rude to Joy on the show that I lost all respect for her. She wasn't even funny, IMO.

She says she has hired a lawyer regarding the airplane incident. I think she's a Star Diva want-a-be.
I hope she's not back on the show today. She owes Joy an apolgy in my opinion. I used to really like the lady. I don't want to see her anymore.

I missed today's show I began watching it but got a phone call. Was she any nicer today?

I won't see the show until I get home this evening. I tape everday and watch it at night. I dread seeing her on the show. I hope she got an attitude adjustment regarding Joy. She was fine with Barbara and Elisabeth. Of course, Grizz saw it and thought that Joy was rude to Monique. I had a different take on it. We'll shall see.

I happened to see a news piece on the incident. It was one of those big hairdryers... with a hood. I can't imagine that she had only that carryon... apparently she had 3 assistants.

She is such a diva...! I'm sure she was giving them a hard time too. The news piece I saw said that she was trying to drum up a boycott of United Airlines.

If it's that huge of a hairdryer, she should have checked it in with her luggage!

I caught a glimpse of yesterdays show before I had to leave... They were in the midst of interviewing Colin Farrel I think. Elisabeth was doing the bulk of the interview and Joy looked like she was uncomfortable looking at Colin... since MoNique was on the other side of her.

Was Monique's hair the same as it was on Monday? I wonder if they taped both shows the same day?
