I know what you mean Grizz. I'm glad to be able to see things from a couple of different perspectives. One thing I would hope that Elisabeth would realize is that when you are so adamant in judging people based on mistakes they have made, you alienate friends and family members. How likely would it be that her daugher would go to her and confide in her about some mistake she made, in light of her mother's hardcore personality? (When her daughter grows up that is)

I have an idea of why Elisabeth may have gotten so out of control. She has recently mentioned on several occasions that she and Tim have not been successful in getting pregnant. I suppose she may be on fertility drugs. I have heard they can make you go stark raving mad. The hormones go way up! That may explain some of her recent rantings. She has a bet with Barbara to cut her hair short if she is not pregnant by the Fall.

She and her husband hava a daughter who is only about 18 months old! I would be very surprised about that.. I think the baby was born in April of 2005.. I have been wondering when she might decide to give it another go... But would doubt they'd resort to drastic measures this soon... I don't think I've ever heard them mention having used fertility drugs the first time...

Maybe you have her confused with someone else.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are planning baby #2... But they don't usually even suggest fertility drugs unless you've been unable to conceive normally after a year of trying.

I really haven't been watching the show regularly.

Maybe she's setting herself up to exit gracefully and hoping to be pregnant before the start of the fall season or soon after.

i'm sure she said that they were trying and not having any luck. She has repeated this 2-3 times over the last few weeks. She has made no bones about the fact that she wants to be pregnant yesterday. A couple of weeks ago, Diane Lane, I think is her name, she was a child actress and married the son on Barbara Streisand's husband. She had her hair cut short for Locks of Love on NBC Today Show. Later that day, she came on The View. There was a conversation of the panel about cutting their hair short and Barbara dared Elisabeth to cut hers, but, she didn't want hers short in case she was pregnant. So, the bet is that she cuts her hair short if she isn't pregnant by fall.

Now, she didn't say that she was going through fertility, but, it was clear that they were frustrated about her not being pregnant. She recenlty made a statement about sex selection of babies. She said that should be banned! People should thank their lucky stars that they were blessed enough to conceive a child at all.

So, I don't know. I definitely think she is trying hard and doing whatever she can to conceive. She says she wants a house full of children and that she wants to have them while she is young.

Debby.. I wouldn't be surprised if she were trying.. I won't be surprised when she gets pregnant, (just a matter of time most likely) and announces that she'll leave the View. All of this has come about since the big split I reckon.. (Star leaving)..

I saw a headline on one of the magazines at the checkout about mommyhood being the latest trend in Hollywood!

Elisabeth has to still be in her 20's.. She is listed on her bio at the View website as being a 99 graduate of BU.. (Fine Arts major).. I remember she got engaged right after her stint on Survivor.. Was that Survivor 2..? It was the Outback one in Australia!

So she is still pretty young..and shouldn't be too worried about getting pregnant. It could be a combination of anxiousness and the fact that pregnancy is a common topic these days especially among the many young hollywood guests that come through the show.

When you are trying to conceive... sometimes 2 or 3 months seems like along time to try..

I had a friend who miscarried her second preganancy and then had trouble conceiving after that. They did resort to fertility drugs after another 2 years of trying and she ultimately wound up with triplets! Be careful what you wish for!

Hopefully they'll be able to expand their family in the traditional way. I'm surprised she's being so vocal about it... She actually wound up being pretty quiet when she got pregnant with Grace.. She held off announcing it a couple months because it was right around the time of Barbara officially retiring from 20/20... The day after the on show celebration.. the crew walked in...and all of them (if I recall right) had pregnant bellies... and of course the announcement was officially made on the show that she was pregnant. By then she was almost beginning to show!

There can't be much of the season left.. It will go into reruns in August I think... I thought they were only taping through July. So maybe we'll know something by the start of the fall season..

I wonder if her desire to have another baby is fueled in part by wanting to leave the show on a positive note as well. And not have it tied in with Rosie in any way. Especially after all the hoopla of late involving Star.. Maybe she's the next one to be out... and they are giving her a few months notice to line up something else! LOL!

KPW, you may be right. I really hadn't thought about that possibility. I really can't see her and Rosie together on that panel everyday.
Now that I think about it, I think she may have had a hard time getting pregnant with her first child, just from the things she says about people who have a hard time conceiving. I think she has actually said that she did have a difficult time herself even though she is only in her twenties.

I wonder when her contract expires.... now I'm really nosey. Has she gotten the boot and won't tell or is she giving them the boot??

I do dread a month of repeats. PLEASE....HOnestly, someone is trying to drive me insane. It's either crappy shows or re-runs.....or re-runs of crappy shows.

If something doesn't change, I'm going to be forced to go to the gym after work and work out..... HEEEEE!
