Oh, I don't think they can replace Meredith. She was the heart of that show. Those shoes are too big to fill. I think they will have to make do. Of course, Rosie has always had great ratings. That's what the show is banking on. The View's ratings are low and they have never won an Emmy. I don't think they have even been nominated, but, Rosie has.

Well, Lauren, at least we agree on the fact that Star needed to go, even though we disagree upon the manner in which she left. She would never have been happy there with Rosie anyway.

Since the repeats started on SO, The View has been my relax after work therapy. I can't stand the talk show repeats. At least The View is current.

Ceilidh, that's great about Season 2. I've been away for a few days, but will get back to Season 2 and start a thread on an area of interest. This was a good time on the show I think.

Iyanla recently told Towanda about her daughter who died of cancer. Sommer accuses Kim of stealing makeup and it seemed that the women despised Dr. Stan.

Debby...after I made the post re Season2...I also missed a few episodes , due to one thing or another!! I remember the "stolen" eyeshadow show though!! I think it just took them a while to get comfortable with Dr. Stan....all those mistrust of men issues!! But, in thinking back...I had a little twinge about a psychologist giving hugs, and boundaries and all that!! After I realized that much of the therapy sessions were off camera, I settled down!
So many HGs later developed crushes on him...maybe the first experience with such a kind and gentle man...they do exist!
Also remember Towanda being astonished that Iyanla had this tragedy...and still being so strong. She truly is a marvel to me, also.

I just heard something on the radio about Larry King that cracked me up. I don't know if it's accurate, but who would fabricate such a wierd story?

They said that Larry King has a serious problem with gas. Apparently he can't control it, even when he is on the air. So they have installed a small fan underneath his desk to blow the air away from the seated guest. That said this came about after Larry had an usually bad gas attack the night Star Jones was on the show.
I'm not kidding..... so don't blame Star for acting a little strange that night. She couldn't breath!

This is Hilarious!!! Do you think it might have been Starr passing gas??? Is that why she kept leaning forward and smiling like the Cheshire Cat???

Lauren, I don't know. Star could be blaming Larry, but, from the report, it seemed as if Larry has a long standing problem of this nature. How embarrassing. I haven't heard anything else about it. I just wonder if it is really true.... I'll get to the bottom of it. Heeee!
