I respect what Tara and WCW have done so much! The petition and calling NBC HAS made a difference!

Heatherw started this idea & now there is a full blown campaign going - to email Oprah! We're asking the SO fans to email/write Oprah and tell about the huge effort by the viewers to save this show; (petition, calling, press release).

If NBC won't pick it back up it would be a perfect fit for the Oh! Oxygen network that Oprah has partial ownership of.

We're also asking the former House Guests to write her, they could write about how the show personally changed their lives and where they are now because of the show. Even if we could get a few (even a couple) of them to write to her, I think that would be INCREDIBLY effective in spurring Oprah's interest! (She 'll problably consider doing a story on HER show about their journey/experience) especially if she gets that much mail on the topic!

It's not too late, the efforts that have been made ARE impressive, they may not have influenced Bunim Murray but may very well impress Oprah!

I know Oxygen is casting for a new show 'Bad Girls' but it won't replace SO. It's not the same, SO is a show we can really relate to because it's about average everyday women, it's positive and we can learn from and get helped by it, not just another show for entertainment.

Let's get all our previous efforts recognized!

By the way, whoever it is that's saying calling was a joke and the petition is full of illiterate comments probably just was illiterate in their understanding of what they were reading. What a negative way to spend their time criticizing what other people are doing when they don't have another suggestion themselves. At least you did something (a lot) for what you believe in, and rallied so many people with you. Almost 8,000 sigs on the petition is nothing to sneeze at (it only represents a small percentage of all the fans) They obviously need to watch SO! (and get a life) as you so tactfully put it Tara! LoL

We can tell her what the show means to us and suggest it would be a perfect fit for the Oh! Oxygen network and suggest the House Guests go on to speak for it and tell about their experience!

I thought I heard Bunim Murray was doing a show called Bad Girls..

If they could pitch a show like that to Oxygen..then surely they should have been able to do that with SO.

The idea of Oxygen, Oprah and Lifetime have been tossed around quite a bit. Since Iyanla and Oprah were at least at one time pals... I am sure Oprah would lean toward Iyanla's advice regarding supporting the show. While the premise of the show was great... we know that the producers and editing left alot to be desired at times.. Deliberately misleading the audience for the sake of drama was a bit irritating!

I think maybe it's a good thing that bunim murray isn't bringing SO back.. They were beginning to butcher it pretty badly anyway... I'
d hate to see SO compared to Real World and the Simple Life (or whatever that Paris Hilton show was..) SO is and should be in a class by itself!

I just think it may take time for the powers that be, whether Dr. Stan and Rhonda (who we've heard may be collaborating on something) or a new set of producers to get the kinks worked out and bring something similar and perhaps better back to the viewers.
