She inspires me and I can relate to her being a child of a recovering alcoholic and married to an recovering alcoholic. Anyone who thinks she is fake is a hater. I so connect with her and her issues. I just watched today's episode and cried. If only I were as strong as she has been. I am still cleaning up people's "stuff".

Even Iyanla called her a fake.

I'm glad that you are learning from Allison's story, and connect with her. It's not easy to change "habits of a lifetime," as we have seen so many times on SO! The refrigerator exercise was a good one, wasn't it? People do eventually "hit the wall" re cleaning up other people's messes though...just gets way too exhausting, and leaves you no time to deal with your own "stuff." Believe me, you are not alone! Take care.

I thought during Allison's two stays in the house that she was a fake and had the martyr thing mastered. I still feel that way, and I'm not a hater....I just don't buy her "look at me I'm so broken and I have to fix everything for everyone else and then I have no time for myself" routine.

i do not like her and i do not trust her.

That's true, but with good intent...she was trying to make Allison see it was OK...and safe...to express her emotions.
