Starting Over Talk

Bunim and Murray updated their web site. It does not list Starting Over, which it has for the past three years. It does list a new show called "Bad Girl" and casting calls for this show.

If starting over were going to have a 4th season.....they would begin filming in July. It doesn't look like that is going to happen any time soon.

I always thought they didn't have a vested interest in the show...

I mean if they really believed in the show...they'd shop it around..
Bad girls has got to be the farthest thing from what SO was supposed to represent. BM wants to up the ante with shock tv... Or it sure sounds like it!

BM also stand for bowel movement. Which could explain their sh***y new programming.

Have any on you heard about the flack BM was getting from their casting and portrayal of the girl on Real World who is anorexic? They provided her a therapist on the show after her housemates told her she really needed professional help (She also seems to have a major drinking problem, lots of screaming and emotional breakdowns as well as constant picking at her skin until it formed scabs).

For those who aren't familar with the show they put up 7 young people in a beautiful mansion, give them a small project they call a job, that requires little time or effort, and then film them as they go out every night, dance, drink, get drunk, hook up, go home, fight or get arrested, and start over again the next day. They must also pay them a salary, since they are out drinking every single night. I don't think I have ever seen even one episode that the group was not out drinking. This season is set in Key West.

I usually watch the show, because it's like a train wreck, but, recently I had to stop when this same girl reunited on the show with her ex-boyfriend who sent her to the hospital 3 times in the past with his violence. She claimed he has reformed.

I heard that the girl claims she got the help she needed because of the show. I hope so.

The Real World has been a big hit for BM, however, I don't think it's necessarily the kind of show you can be proud of like SO.

I can't believe that is their new site. It's pretty crappy for a site designed in 2006.

I agree. The way you must scroll down the text is wierd.
I also take issue with their so called facts about the Real World, Key West...not so accurate in my opinion.

From the de_script_ion of Bad Girls, it seems as if maybe that's the show they really wanted Starting Over to be, only it was too substantive to fit the bill. They do seem to be proud of SO. I guess its really the only intelligent program they have ever produced.
Yeah, that's right....It's kick BM week and I've had a blast doing it.
