i kinda agree with you,shes hard to read.i know one thing.......she does have a drinking problem and she does have a way about her that makes you wonder???????????????

Allison uses some of the same tactics one hears her mother using during the phone calls. The delivery of her remarks is often totally contrary to their intent. (I am not trying to read her mind, it comes out in the confessionals, when you hear her talking to the coaches and other housemates.)

Can you give some specific remark or incident you are referring to?

Thanks Debby - as a new SO viewer, if it weren't for Allison, I wouldn't be so into SO. I find our lives are very similar and have learned so much from the life coaches in healing Miss Allison. Some of us, like myself, don't sit well with change in our lives and view it as negative. We keep things bottled up as to not bother others around us. On the flipside, I see now how this does affect others around us more than we realized. I know everyone can relate to different houseguests based on their experiences. Allison has been a real role model in my life.

If only the"powers that be" would read these boards!!! They don't seem to have a clue how helpful this show has been to so many!!
While I don't particularly relate to Allison, I like her, and feel for her. I think I have learned a little something from each and every
HG over the course of the 3 seasons!! If nothing else, that we all have a "story", we all hurt in some way, and, in seeing these women struggle with change learn something about ourselves. Hopefully, it makes us more tolerant of others' behavior, if we can remember that it all has a "root." After my own "starting over"...several years back, I find myself not so ready to "write anybody off"...instead find myself wondering what happened...to make them "like that?" I'm grateful for that.

I agree with both of you. I was inspired by Allison. In my post above, I really was interested in knowing the specifics and not trying to be sarcastic.

I too learned much from Allison, but, she has been such a hot button on the board, that I want to try to get as accurate view as possible of her portrayal on SO. Maybe I just missed something, so, I'm trying to open myself up to other's people's perspectives.

Since I have met health crisis, I tend to ask myself, especially regarding health issues, how would Allison handle this situation? It always gives me courage. These negative traits that are magified on the board, just don't come to my mind. I don't know why, especially when I read about them everyday. Heeee! But, seriously, I really want to be even handed on this topic. That's the source of my curiousity.
