Enjoyed seeing Allison out with her "coach for the day!" Don't know if I caught his "title" correctly! Interesting to hear the male perspective on "what guys want." Allison did well just walking up to the men and starting a conversation...knew enough to know that
?*X! sports would get their attention! Personally I'd rather be dateless than talk about sports!
I think the "dressing like you feel" exercise is a good one, not just for Allison. But how many of us would actually do it...outside of our own little nest, that is!
It is about how you feel inside...but, isn't it sort of sad that, if we are groomed and well put together, others assume that we are "A-OK?" The "visual "exercises are always the best, IMO.

I know what you mean. I like some sports, but, I'm not a huge sports fan. I do like to keep abreast on the big sports events so I have at least one topic of conversation that will probably appeal to a man should we have the chance to chat.

We just won the Stanley Cup so everyone in North Carolina has much to talk about with regard to hockey. Go Canes!

Don't know how I missed this post until today, Debby!! Hubby and son are big baseball fans...got hooked on the Boston Red Sox when we lived in Maine for 6 years. I can watch a game or two...but I could not tell you the score of any given game YEARS later, as they can! OK, I guess I feel a bit of an attachment to them also, but only because my son was in Little League at the time!!
But , for me, when the game is over, I sure don't want to TALK about it!
( If only they could remember birthdays as well as stats! )

I know what you mean, however around here college basket ball overshadows hockey. ACC basketball is a religion in NC. Duke, Wake Forest, NC State, UNC, etc.. It's as if you are born with it in your viens. Around here even girls are college basketball fans. I wasn't suprised Allison knew sports talk, her being a Carolina gal and all.

Ah...that explains why she was able to sail right into that conversation!!
Hubby is into college basketball too, as opposed to pro...so I actually recognized all the team names you mentioned! Help me somebody...I think he must have brainwashed me!!
