I was looking at Christie's myspace acct and saw she had 2 new blog entries. The first was advertising the chat with Jill on Thursday night...

Jill will be having 'chats' every Thursday evening.. and this past week's was the first in a series I think. They are discussing about all the footage that isn't seen. Which would be interesting. They say they shoot 100 hours of footage a day and all of that gets trimmed down to 44 minutes.. Unbelievable.. so obvious we miss out on alot... and all the dots do not connect pretty routinely.

Her other new blog entry mentioned a book club... and apparently she now has her own site.. That she is building (or someone helping her too.)

She has a bio on there and a place for blogs.. and of course her 'store'.. 'Cain' is featured and I think she plans to have an update about Life with Cain... I wonder if Cain is really an alias name..? Seems like you wouldn't want to put your brother's real name out there... But I know they have different fathers so the last name most likely is different...

She mentions some of her background work too.. but don't know if that's been stuff she's done all along or since she left SO. I seem to recall that she mentioned waitressing sometime early in her stay at the SO house.. (I know Kelly was also a waitress..) Anyone else recall Christy mentioning waitressing? I seem to recall seeing it in some posts too.

Thanks for sharing the new site, I am so glad that Christie decided to raise her brother and get him out from under his mother and those bad circumstances.. I can't say I agree at all with her posting his picture on the internet, I wonder if she has even thought of all of the ramifications of doing this. On one hand it's nice to put a pic to the boy we've heard so much about .. but for me, it wasn't necessary and I don't believe it's in his best interest. Protection of our children is first and foremost over public acknowledgement IMO.

Yeah, Mystique, that's what I thought too. But I'm betting it didn't even cross her mind like you said. Not that I agree with it, but I'm guessing as a new "mom" with so many of her own struggles, she didn't even think about that. One thing about raising a child from infancy is usually you get to grow with their needs and surround yourself with other moms and knowledge, etc, etc. (Well, okay, some of our parents obviously didn't give a flip about us, but most of US have rather'd gone to hell and back for our kiddos!!! )

She's definitely started on the right path with herself and her little brother. I hope she does indeed find success for them both......it takes a very special person to become "mom" in the way she has!!!

An "extensive backgroud in family services" and working "as family services and an employment specialist to provide support and advocacy services to people in need"?
The short time she's been out of the SOH, for or five months, isn't enough for her to gain an "extensive background" in anything. Especially with no college degree.

It's called resume embellishment.
