Season 2 is now airing in my area. I have seen all of the episodes before, but I guess I have forgotten some things.

This is the beginning of Season 2 and so far there have been several meetings with the LCs and Dr. Stan present. They talk about different issues in the house, how hg are reacting to one another and ask each other's opinion on how to better coach each hg. I really like it. However, I don't recall this happening with season 3. I am relatively new to this board, so I don't know if these meetings have ever been the topic of discussion before. So, pardon me if it has been before.

Do you think they stopped doing the meetings or just airing the meetings, or were the meetings cut out in editing in order to save more time to air feuds between the hg?

Only when a new HG first tells her story are both Rhonda and Iyanla both present at the group meetings. The other meetings are handled by Rhonda, Iyanla, or Dr Stan. Jill says that Dr Stan's meetings lasted an hour. Rhonda and Iyanla's lasted two hours. And, only about five minutes was ever shown on TV.

Although some viewers didn't really like these LC's/Dr. Stan emergency meetings (by the reading the SO main message board last season), I, on the other hand LOVED them. Too bad we didn't get the chance to see them this year.

Since the LC's and Dr. Stan would often be aware of what's going on in the house with so and so HG, I am pretty sure that those meetings were cut out in editing or they were simply done behind the camera.

Thanks for the info. I really like those meetings. They allow you to see that the LCs and Dr. Stan, know what is going on, who is triggering whom, the underlying resentment, and what type of assitance the hg needs perhaps in light of that information. I found that assuring.

It is sometimes frustrating when a hg is acting bitchy or inappropiate and there is no indication from the program that the LCs and Dr. Stan are aware of it, unless a hg just comes out and just tells them.

I also saw a real enthusiasm in those meetings between these people. Maybe it was because it was their first tv show together, but, it was obvious they loved what they were doing and were trying soooo hard for SO.
