I know you'd be the perfect person for her to have to count on, I can imagine she is very appreciative. Please tell her she is in my prayers as well as you and the rest of her loved ones. Hi, thank you all for your beautiful supportive words and prayers.

My sweet sister has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. She had the surgery Wednesday... her doctor said he was pleased with the way the surgery went, and is hopeful that chemo will give her an 80% chance of going into remission. The surgery was extremly invasive... I'll spare you all the gorey details, but will say that I'm "acting as if" being positive and hopeful... but I'm not.

I am tapping into the "spiritual" part of myself, and truly appreciate your prayers.

This site... you beautiful people... your wisdom is such comfort. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for the update.. I know many of us have had you on our thoughts and in our prayers... and of course your beloved sister too!

Take it a day at a time .... Once she's feeling better from surgery, I'm sure you both will be able to focus a little better on a positive spirit which will help so much both the mental and physical battle and endurance of the treatments.

They are making tremendous strides with treatments these days... You never know when a new development and new treatment will be adding to the arsenal at the doctors disposal..

Oh Maz..................on the one update about the stage 3 and surgery............I'm so sorry and I'll send tons of hugs, good thoughts, prayers, etc!!!

But it is a wonderful thing to hear 80% remission possibility. We'll just pray for 100%, eh????

Just concentrate on you and your family right now. I know you're positive and supportive for your sis.............but let it all out when you're not with her. Remember that you also need love and support and comfort. Be gentle with yourself right now too!!!!
