Starting Over Talk

Ladies & guys,

You know i love Starting Over as much as anyone on this board, but I have come to the conclusion that we are just wasting our time and probably are being laughed at for flooding their lines with calls and petitions to keep this show on. It all comes down to one thing, and i am sure you know what that is. MONEY!! Every show has to have sponsers that buy time to advertise their products. Maybe the sponsers didn't want to endorse their products on that show anymore. Not enough selling potenial or something. Anyway, they are going to do what they feel will benefit them, they don't care about the fans, or viewers. or nobody but who will bring in the revenue. What i can't understand is why Tyra Banks and Jerry Springer are on all the time?! Tyra is rich and so is Jerry, so maybe they are kicking in some cash to keep their shows on. I noticed Tyra is on like 3 or 4 times a day!! I don't think that many sponsers want to pick her show up! It all comes down to money! I am so tired of hearing "That mailbox is full right now", if every call is to logged and counted, then a lot aren't getting through, and i don't think NBC gives a darn either. I am through trying, they are going to do what they want to anyway. I think I will just stick to praying!! God hears and logs and counts my prayers, and He answers them too!![b]

If it comes down to money then NBC is just plain clueless. Starting Over costs very little to produce and they also have a slew of sponsors. Affiliates stations are also more likely to pick Starting Over up than a big name show because it costs them less.

I think you're right. It's naive to think that Rhonda, Iyanla, Dr. Stan, the SO producers and production staff and Bunim-Murray aren't moving on with their personal and professional lives.

And, the final nail in the coffin comes from The Futon Critic. Up until a couple days ago, the site said the series was 'still being shopped.' I knew it wouldn't be a BM production any longer because the entire staff was either reassigned or terminated by early May and the office space now houses Human Resources. I think you are the one who needs to get a life. People here are putting their energies into something positive unlike you. How much time did it take you to make each of those urls in to a tiny URL?
