It shows her big fall off the beam too! She gets up really fast...Man I would lay there....act hurt or something

I think Vanessa is great. I had a teacher once whose daughter was an olympic hopeful in diving. She was living away from home at 11 so that she could get the best of coaching, etc. The kid was great...overachiever, honour student, etc. Then one day, she decided diving was not what she wanted to do. I think she was about 14 or so then. Her mother lost it on her! I was so embarassed for the poor girl. Her brother had mental problems and it was like she had to make up for the both of them to her folks. That's a lot of pressure for any kid...especially a teenager! I've lost track now, but I imagine her to be much like Vanessa...a little lost when not succeeding at everything, feeling used and feeling like she's got something to prove to everyone. She's not learned unconditional love, so how could she possibly give it. That boyfriend has got to go, not because he's a bad guy, but because Vanessa has not been honest about herself and her own needs, making him the wrong choice as she discovers herself and needs.

You said that right about Vanessa &amp; her boyfriend...I think the things that Bethany was saying to her during her Graduation, was a bit about getting rid of the dude &amp; moving on. Going for what SHE wants!

I hope for the best for Vanessa, too. I think she's a sweetie! : )

Absolutely... I think she will move on, but I don't think it will happen as easily as she seemed to suggest in the BOR. We'll see.
