I would really hate to lose SO. It is the one show where people are there to get real improvement in their lives, and I have learned a lot from them. The other reality shows exploit people in a way that set them against one another in some way; SO is the one show where everyone can be a winner in their own lives, be bettered for it, and an audience can benefit from watching. I actually locked down my work schedule around the program locally, and would really like to see more of it.
Does anyone have any concrete information about the coaches or Dr. Stan's view on another season?
I saw some good in what was happening this season and last, though I agree that follow-up counseling would be a good idea, if it was not privately advocated to the HG upon graduation for those will serious emotional baggage to deal with. I thought there was value in watching them struggle with this heavy-duty stuff, and each of them should be referred for continued counseling beyond the show's contributions.
I really liked Iyanla as a counsellor, but also really liked Rhonda's approach, as well, and Dr. Stan seemed to keep everything grounded.
Is there anything that we can do to support a 4th season?
With kindest regards, Donna E.
