New grandpa alert: If you are around Sen. Tom Harkin, be prepared for a photo onslaught. Harkin and his wife, Ruth, are new grandparents with the birth of McQuaid Goodrich, son of his daughter Amy Harkin and her husband, Steve Goodrich.

Mom, Dad and baby are at home in California. "I haven't been this excited since Amy and Jenny were born — I think I'm going to like being a grandpa," Harkin revealed. And if you're wondering, the baby is named after a favorite Harkin relative.
