Andi only does the makeup...it was pretty obvious, today that
Sommer picked her own dress...wasn't going for any of the
suggested revealing clothes!! And I don't mind the eyebrows
either...better that than the over plucked and drawn back in
variety....they "went out with the ark," didn't they?
I liked Andi when she was a house guest, although it did take me
a while to warm up to her, before she opened up a little. I think
it's great that at least one former HG has parlayed her lessons
learned into more than "dreaming or wishing." Do I always like
the makeovers? No, but I think it's good that the ladies are
"game" for a change...makeup washes off, hair grows, NBD.:)

True.. makeup washes off and hair does grow back.. but No Big Deal? I thought it was supposed to represent a big deal! Starting their lives over and feeling good about themselves. If they like it that's all that really matters.. I think they should have a choice, some are very reluctant to give Andy too much say at all.

I think most of the ladies just see the graduation makeover as
"part of the deal." Me too. Most of them have looked pretty
happy at their graduations...doubt that it has much to do with
hair, makeup or clothes...these things have no real importance.

Make-up you try on in your own bathroom is NBD. Bad make-up caught on tape forever, plasetered all over the internet, and nationally televised is a VBD. If image is important enough that they will spend weeks and weeks in the house over it, and hours and hours and thousands of dollars on it, it's important enough to not create a permanent embarassment for the recipient.

Fortunately, Sommer got better results than most. The colors were great on her, the hair was good, and her eyebrows escaped about 6 pounds of waxy pencil.

@ Andy Paige the SO makeover "guru".

IMO, the best makeover was when Iyanla insisted (last year) that the housemates helped Katrinda (Candy) with her makeover.
Layne (I think it was) and Tess were going to shop for the dress and shoes, Alisson did the makeup and Rachel worked on Katrinda's hair. It was superb!

Ladies, ladies, ladies! Let's not be too harsh on Andy now. Granted she isn't that great in picking out clothes for other people and sometimes her makeup is questionable, but let's not burn her at the stake please.

I think she is on the show to give herself confidence in her job. Maybe she just needs more practice as practice makes perfect. There isn't anyone out there who is more critical of what we do than ourselves! Andy may very well be aware of the job she is doing and might improve or quit or whatever. It's up to her.

More makeovers should be handled the way Sommer handled hers. She took control with only advice from Andy. I thought she looked really nice with the makeup as it brought out her beauty.

Makeup and clothes and style are all a very personal thing. Sure we can look like models with the right stuff applied but is that who we, as individuals, are. As I'm sure you are all aware - when you try clothes on you see how they on you, you feel the texture of the fabric, you determine how the clothing makes you feel. If you feel marvelous with this, then go for it. If you are the least bit uncomfortable, then ditch it.

Is a stylist suppose to make everyone look like they do? Aren't they suppose to work with the style of the client? Andy makes everyone look like she does. That dress on Sommer looks like a bedspread I had in the sixties! It did not look like Sommers style at all. AND that bright red lipstick of Andys went out with white eyeshadow.

Its a good thing Jill did not have to use Andy. Can you just imagine how Andy would have made her look?

Every time Andy comes on the show I think SHE needs the makeover!
