If you met someone who looked like Stan Katz at a bar or mixer or wedding, or wherever, 98 percent of you would not give him the time of day.

Be honest.

Stan Katz is not the best-looking guy in the world. And on first glance, you would not want to get to know him better.

But the fact that we all really like him proves a point that I hope we can all use in real life: Appearances are deceiving.

I don't know - there's something about his eyes and smile... , but I do understand what you mean. I think it is just proof that real beauty emanates (sp?) from within. And he is emanating! I think there are plenty of us ladies who appreciate a REAL MAN, not just the 'male' of the species ('cause haven't we all seen quite enough of 'them'????)

I disagree. 98% of women do not judge by looks alone, many look for substance or the whole package.. not all of us are superficial. Of course we are all attracted to different types and we do go for guys we find appealing to us, that excite us.. but men like Dr. Stan who upon seeing him speak to people.. radiate with warmth and compassion along with intelligence and so many women find that attractive, it's NOT all about the outside.. and if a person really looks at the whole of an individual, and see their good heart shine through their eyes.. they become more attractive than at first glance. Many times looks are all a person has going for them! If that person has no depth, values, morals, compassion, understanding, patience, trustworthiness... etc. then those good looks don't really count for a whole heckofa lot! And they become so unattractive. Not everyone would find him attractive... but I'd bet that there are plenty that find those men like Dr. Stan quite attractive. And if he weren't already married I doubt he'd have any problems getting a date either. But he is and another great quality about him is that he seems to be very dedicated and committed to his family and makes sure that that is quite evident. I've never seen him return flirty glances (and I've seen them made toward him more than once) he always tempers that and redirects it kindly.

Do tell, Mystique. Who, when and where were these flirts made toward Dr. Stan? I am very curious.

If I were a hg I would have difficulty keeping my level of attraction to him under control. But, I would. There's really nothing not to love about him. I believe the attraction is actually to his confident yet sweet spirit. I don't see it for me as a father figure thing.

When he first came on the show, I thought he was handsome but his clothes were not very up to date. Theeeen, he got a stylist or something, but he started dressing great. Theeeen, I said, oh my!!
This is the type of man I would like to date! Of course, we don't see him when he's cranky, or short tempered or unreasonable. He is human, so I know he's not always the perfect guy.

I do think he has brought much attention to the show as well as loyalty from its many fans. So I really hope that if SO doesn't come back, he and Rhonda get one going.

Sorry Mystique, I didn't mean to misquote you. Not sure what happened, but you get my drift.

Yea.. I got it hon Sorry I didn't mean to incinuate there were overtures made.. just flirtyness from Lisa1, Allison, Christina just to name a few... and I noticed he immediately got on topic and redirected it every single time. I think he stayed very professional and his compassion was within boundaries and he made sure they were well set.

Yeah, that's the problem with ethical, honest, and married men. They won't even go there. Just kidding.
I mean his wife could be watching the show everyday. I wonder how she handles his rock star fame.
