I'm sorry if anyone thinks I am a spoilsport, but when I saw that this topic was re-visited, I just have to speak my peace. I have had Chron's disease for 35 years. I have alot of complications that just are not "table talk" if you know what I mean. I can't tell you the countless times that I have farted or someone else in the public bathroom made awful comments to me about things that I cannot control. Even my family still doesnt get it after 35 years, that the teasing and joking about farting are extremely hurtful.
Who cares if she farted. WE all do and if you think you don't you are delusional.
Anyway, lets put this topic to rest. I quit the original site because of this thread and have found a lovely group of people here, only to find its OK to make fun of people.
And the fact that autographs are requested from the originator makes me want to throw up.
I thought I had found a safe home here.
Photo girl, I am sorry if my words offended you. The irony here is that I am a fellow IBD sufferer. I have Ulcerative Colitis that has been active for 15 non stop and is now right sided as well (very progressed). I too know what it is like to be in a bathroom stall and know that others can hear me. It was never my intention to upset you. I happen to find the farting humorous. We have many laughs at our house and have made up many jokes. The noise heard on the tape that day was subtle, it was in no way the noise of a sick colon. I thought it was particularly amusing that the gas was not deleted by editing. The bottom line is that we each find different things in life funny. I happen to find body humor funny. I don't apologize for my humor, BUT I do apologize if I inadvertantly offended you.
Your fellow IBD sufferer and friend
