I thought the same thing when Jodi got her gift. And I don't begrudge her the seven day vacation at all because she deserves at least that. But yeah, Kim, three days, and with Melinda! They can spend the whole three days NOT looking at each other, if they even go at all.
I recall thinking some gifts in the past were more thoughtful and future-oriented, like Jessica getting photography lessons or something like that since she had so much skill as a photographer and an interest in that area. Myst, you mentioned TJ's gift, and while I do not recall what it was (CRS syndrome), I specifically remember thinking she might feel it was a rejection of some sort if she compared it to gifts others had received, since it was a lesser gift and she had felt so isolated and different in the first place.
It would be interesting to reconstruct the gifts each one got, for comparison's sake, even though they are different people with different needs and goals. It seems to me too that roughly equivalent value should be a factor, and isn't. But I am having a very hard time recalling too many other gifts ...
I did have a strong sense though that the worst gift so far, IMO, was Kim's.
