My guess is that SO was willing to pay travel expenses for Jodi's mom because her visit tied in with filling in the blank spaces of the time period that Jodi blocked out, and Jodi's need for her mom to hear and validate Jodi's problem with bulima. And since she was already there -- she was invited to graduation.

TJ's husband's visit was in the middle of TJ's stay in the SOH.

I think it would have been too tramatic for Jill and/or her father for her father to show up at graduation since their relationship was too new.

I guess they either have budget limitations or the guests may have time limitations.

yea Maz but other hg's families have been there when graduates go through the ceremony.. like Jessica for instance.. yet no family member yet has been invited, until now.

Aww all you guys and the comments about Jodi's makeover are kinda harsh. But of course they're just opinions. I thought with her hair and clothes, she looked more like a woman. Her hair is too wild all the time and I too prefer jeans & a t-shirt but it was nice seeing her look a little more elegant.

It wasn't Jodi's fault Andy just didn't do her justice IMO.

Jodi has large facial features and instead of makeup that emphasized either her eyes or her lips Andy emphasized everything at once. It was too much. Her hair was okay but because she has a wide face and her hair waved right there around her jawline and neck it actually made her neck and face look larger. The shirt was very young girl like to me and not a style that fit Jodi. Jodi seemed to know the shirt wasn't right her her in the store but maybe she gave in to what she thought was Andy's better judgment. I don't know about better.

It seemed like an outfit suited to Andy and not Jodi. Changing styles is great but it should still fit the person and I didn't think this fit Jodi. Andy doesn't show a lot of imagination or let the essence of the person she is making over shine through.

But this isn't meant to be against Jodi because she just put herself in Andy's hands.

SO true!! It reminds me of the Brady Bunch movie in which Mr. Brady was an architect and everything he ever designed, from a gas station to a to a restaurant - they all looked exactly like his own house. He could not seem to move past that template. It was funny in the movie. But on woman after woman in the SO House - not so much.

Andy see what Andy likes - and then she applies that to everyone, even when they have completely different tastes and styles and shapes. A little training in fashion design could open her up to what works for CLIENTS, rather than repeating the same mistakes because Andy likes something on Andy.

It would have been great to do a mother-daughter makeover for Jodi and her mom as a bonding experience for them. But, since it was Andy ( AGAIN ), I am actually glad that the mother was spared ....
