The show ROCKED! I loved every single minute of it. My favorite part was at the end when some of the legends and youngins (sp?) were singing. Oprah said it wasn't rehearsed? WOW, Amazing!!!


As much as Oprah always talked about Toni Morisson on her show, I wonder why she was not invited or not even a legend.

Toni Morrison was honored as a legend. She and Alice Walker, another of Oprah's favorites.

I know I'm not crazy but I thought I saw Aretha Franklin there. What I didn't get was why was Brandy and Ashanti there? I'm was shocked Beyonce wasn't their maybe she was busy.

Aretha wasn't at any of the events. Beyonce was probably on tour abroad with her group (geez, can't remember the name of it!). As for the other two, well they are grammy awards singers (I think). They deserved to be there. Thank God, they didn't have to sing!

I saw the show on Monday, and I Tivo'd the show. I will watch it again, so let me put in my order for 2 boxes of Puffs with Aloe, and a strawberry smoothie.

I cried from beginning to end, and my mother kept looking at me like I was crazy. But, when I saw Diann Carol, my mind went back to when I was a little girl, and her show, Julia was a big hit for me. I had a memory from just about every woman at that luncheon.
