Starting Over Talk

I happened to see 2 posts on 2 different sites. 1 was at the reality tv world site in the spoiler section.

The other at the Jokersupdates.com site.

Apparently Christie may be involved in a new reality tv show / contest...that will air on the _style_ network in later June. (possibly May.. since I am doing this from memory of seeing the 1st item earlier today.) Some sort of contest about putting together a wardrobe or some sort of goals involving modeling. It sounded like there was a time limit and $ limit.. and it sounded like it was some sort of competition.

Not sure if it is a one time show... or a series but a person at the jokers site actually saw a commercial for it and saw her. Since I don't have the _style_ network, I have to consider this a rumor all the way around. Maybe they have a website where it can be verified.


The show is supposedly called Instant Beauty Pageant.

It could be possible... that someone who looks like Christie is the contestant seen on the promo! But then again... It might have been a fun one time thing for her to do.

This is not a rumor. Christie states on her myspace blog that she will be involved in a show on the _style_ Network called "Instant Beauty Pageant". She also stated that it will be in June sometime, she is not sure of the exact date.

I have seen the ad for this show several times in the last 2 days. What caught my attention was Christie's voice and when I looked at the TV screen I realized it was her and she was on a different show than Starting Over. The new show is going to be on the _style_ TV channel starting sometime in June. From what I could see from the trailer for it, it says that they ambush women at a shopping mall and ask them if they want to be in a beauty pagent. It also looks like they may go through some type of makeover before the pagent and then they compete. There is footage of Christie (looking like she may have won...not sure about that) saying that she was proud of herself for doing something like this. I thought I was losing my mind when I first saw this commercial because I just can't believe the odds that Christie was on SO and now just happens to be on another show. I know people have questioned before whether the SOG's are really actresses hired to play a role and I never thought SO would do that...now I am seriously starting to wonder how real the SO women are and how real the show is. Just my opinion.

I doubt that Christie is an actress. But she may have become a reality show "addict" and want to parlay her limited fame into some new reality program. She wouldn't be the first contestanbt to go from one such show to another. Elizabeth Hasselback now on The View was originally a contestant on Survivor, and then she hosted a small _style_ show on some other network before she got The View.

I'll bet that of all of the things Christie learned in the SO House, the most lucrative lesson was how to make money staying on reality T.V. It does detract from the image that Christie was preparing to return to real life and move forward in a realistic way with a long-term plan, but if this is her "fifteen minutes" of fame, then financially at least, she probably wants to make the most of it.
