I am involved in an effort to establish a Department of Peace. (no, we don't have one.) We are devoted to creating a new political consciousness, based on the non-violent principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr......... King said, fundamental change involves a "qualatitive change in our souls as well as a qualitative change in our lives." In the spirit of building non-violent social and political structures, maybe you would consider participating. You can go to dopcampaign.org, and if you support the bill, you can contact your congressman and tell them so, and ask them to co-sponser the bill. (you can go to Congress.org for your rep's contact info.) It goes without saying this is a really important issue. (Women's Sufferage seemed far-fetched too when first introduced, remember?) WE can do this. Peace

Just so you know there is no war right now it is a police action... he can't go back to war unless congress agrees. I feel that unless Iraq is resolved we will be under another 9/11 attack and I don't want that for my kids. I have several loved ones involved with the Iraq and I have lost two friends in Afghanistan however since they believe in it then so do I. I don't want what happens in Israel happening here with daily attaks and innocent children and adults dying. remeber everyone has the right to their own opinion and you don't have to agree with mine but mine has changed after talking to friends that have come back and really see what is going on. They want the Iraqi children to have the same freedoms and choices as our children and they don't want them growing up in fear because of their religion.
