Starting Over Talk - Peer Coaching Support Site

After spending a day trying to understand some medical
terms....for some reason I thought of Iyanla and her
"relanguaging' exercises...followed by the thought that
our "filters" cause us to speak in our own "foreign"
language, in a way. In wondering how it seems that I am
sometimes "misinterpreted" (not only here...ha-ha!)...I have made a habit of asking myself ..."who, in my life...
does this/that HG remind me of?" When I can answer
that, I try to see what particular "trait" I am responding
to....then try...(!!!)...to see "past" that in as much as I am
able! It really has helped me...has not made me "immune"
to slams or disagreements...but it has made a difference.
Anyone else have a favorite way of "cooling off?"
