I am new to this site, but have been watching and participating in message boards since the first season... That said,lol, I just had one comment...... Every year there is a rumor that SO will not be back on..... I just wish if Iyanla does not return they ask Rana.... I love Rana..lol Anyways, don't stress about it...... SO lives on...

I loved Rana too although I have seen posts that were not so complimentary about her. I never did know why she left although I saw somewhere that it allegedly had to do with her following Josie back home after Josie decided to leave, and persuading her to go back to the Starting Over House which apparently some thought overstepped her bounds as a Life Coach. Anyway I would love to see Rana back too, although I would not want to see Rhonda or Iyanla go either.

This is the response a local station gave to my question about the fate of SO:

Starting Over will remain on our schedule through the summer, however the program has been canceled, so we won't be able to continue airing it.

The last new episode will air in mid-May. I wish I had better news for you and the many viewers who love the show. Nationally, it just didn't have much viewership so production of Starting Over was ended.

I first want to say I loved Rana too. But back on the old show , during the start when they flas to different ladies, I always noticed the clip of Josie and Rana saying "WE got a girl. It's a girl". Well just the way she said "WE" sounded like she was just a little too involved. That's just the vibe I got. Did anyone else feel that?Or was it just me? It almost sounded like she quick thought what she said and changed her comment to "IT'S" a girl. And then Rana wasn't there. Just thought it interesting that you had heard Something going on with Rana and Josie too. Rumour or not I always wondered.
By the way why are there no posts yet today?It's 6:30 pm !!!!!!!

Speaking of Rana, during SO our local station sometimes plays a particular commercial with folks on a bus or a train-- sorry, don't often pay attention to commericals (no surprise to ad execs), but the woman on the front seat sure looks a heck of a lot like Rana. I'll try to pay closer attention for the future.
To further digress, ad people ought to know better-- notice when people remember something about a commercial but never can remember what the product or service was.
