Thank you for your prayers. He got bad news today, and his unit is getting split up. I guess this hasn't happened to a similar troop before, and if the Guard knew that would be done, they never would have been sent!! I am off to the post office to mail him his first package, including his favorite homemade cookies! Hope they are edible when they get to him.

Well, I have sent him three packages so far, a birthday box being one of them. I am sending him one a month, so I better get working on the March one!

He is fine, hates sand, and is keeping busy. I pray for his safety, and the changes his son and wife have to make without him in their daily lives. I have more snow pictures to send, to break up the brown he sees every day!! I am thankful for technology, as I can hear from him via email.

This is also a prayer for everyone who has a soldier in their life, fighting for their country, that they can do their job, grow from the experience, and come home to their families and friends.

AMEN to that hsmom!

*I want a soldier to email to...one that doesn't get mail from home or something......

This site is good, it has names and lists of what these soldiers have asked for. You are no longer advised to put "any soldier" on a package, you should have a name. This site gets updated regularly, has current names and addresses. Hope this is what you were talking about.

My brother is home to Michigan for leave! I am so happy he is home for awhile, and can't wait to go see him! Thanks to all who remember military servicemen in their thoughts and prayers.
